Recently, Warner Brothers made an announcement that they were going to push the release date of Half-Blood Prince back until July 17th from it's original November release date. This has angered many Harry Potter fans and sparked a petition urging Warner Brothers to re-think their position on the matter. So far the petition has received almost 10,000 signatures in less than 24 hours. If we know anything from past petitions, we know Harry Potter fans are very effective at starting and getting signatures on their petitions.
