Start a Petition.
Petitions are intended to make an impact to the government or the society by using the power of freedom of speech and people power. One can make such a big impact if he or she stands hand in hand with people who fight for the same issue. You don’t need to make violent protests against a government official or anyone in authority just so your point would be taken seriously. Of course, creating a petition is just one of the many different means of telling the person in charge that you are against their actions, rulings or their lack of actions and rulings. You can choose this type of protest or you could try other things, the choice is totally up to you.
If you want your voice to be heard without getting hurt or becoming unprofessional or undignified, then starting a petition is just the right thing to do. It may just be a symbol of protest, it may just be a piece of paper, but what is written on this piece of paper outcries the voices of those marching on the street shouting painful words against the people they want to hear them.
The more signatures are listed on this piece of paper makes the petition more powerful. The more signatures give the petition the right to be acknowledged by those to whom it is addressed to. These people in authority know what a petition actually means. It’s the voice of the majority and this is not to be questioned especially if you are under the government. The government works for the people and wants to make the lives of these people better, so a petition fighting against a certain action only informs them that what they’re doing is actually counteracting their principles and their purpose.
It is advised that people should first think about what actions they should make if they think their rights are being violated or they are not getting the attention that they deserve. Again, bloodshed should be at the bottom of the list. There need not be any form of war just to settle things. What is really necessary is for both parties to talk to one another and cite each of their sides. As a community or as the entire population of a country, you can act together by signing a petition. The more signatures you gather the better. As long as you reach 100% of the required amount of signatures needed for the certain number of population, then your petition would be considered a success. It must be considered as the first step in making a difference in your community. If the persons in charge are still not listening or are trashing your petition, you have the right to make legal actions against them because you spent a lot of time to make that petition a success and they should always acknowledge that.
