It was signed by more than 102501 citizens for increasing the prison sentences for people convicted with robbery of residential property by means of violence. Just before few months a national petition was raised to the Tata’s company to stop the building to a sea port in Orissa, as it will destroy the rare Olive Riddley turtles in that area. This petition was signed by around 70000 people and was directly relayed to Tata himself. Later knowing the impact of his project, Tata obliged to the petition and dropped his project.
