Health Petitions

Petitions are necessary for mankind because, through these he can voice out his opinions frankly. Petitions are mediums through which one can vent out his anger or disappointment against wrong doings happening in his society. These help in eradicating the mistakes and punishing the convicts and ensuring that the mistakes do not repeat in future. Petitions can be created to highlight wrong doings in any field like education, media, civil administration, health, medicine, infrastructure etc. The field that receives the maximum petitions is the health field. Health is Wealth and hence any endangerment to the health sector is given high importance.

Petitions can be to request the government officials to create awareness of life threatening diseases like AIDS, cancer & TB. There are so many deaths happening in the world due to these diseases and the conscious petitioner has every right to raise a petition to the government for more awareness campaigns against these disease so that the people can abstain from what things that are not supposed to be done. Health petitions of these sort, arise mostly from the rural areas because, it is here where the maximum number of deaths occur. Impure water leads to TB and rural areas do not have access to clean drinking water, hence they are prone to deadly diseases than the urban areas.

Health petitions can also be created to improve the number of medical camps in one’s locality. Blood donation camps, free eye testing camps, free vaccination injections etc can be provided in the rural areas through health petitions, thereby making these people immune to life- killing diseases and making them aware of the priority of a healthy life. Health petitions in some areas have forced the government officials to take action and bring in clean drinking water for these people. There are many schools in the rural and urban areas where sub standard food is being provided to the children. This has resulted in serious ailments and in some cases, even death of these innocent children. People have reacted to this grave incident by raising health petitions, than just bearing the brunt of these careless government officials. Health petitions have insisted that the food must be tested before being given to the children and should be of high quality. Without doubt, these health petitions have reduced the number of deaths causing this way, though this has not been eradicated fully.

Most of the hospitals in rural as well as urban areas are not maintained properly and lots of germs are present in these places due to lack of cleanliness. This aggravates the plight of the patients already admitted there. Health petitions can be created to make these hospitals clean and provide a pleasant atmosphere to these patients to help them recover quickly. Health petitions can be raised to ban smoking, tobacco, raise quality of living, eat clean food, inhale clean air, test the food for any poisonous substances etc. These petitions have definitely increased the quality of living of the people. Every individual has to realize that it is his right to lead a healthy life and hence health petitions are a must to ensure that his health is not at other’s disposal.
