I would totally support this petition; however, there are a few serious flaws that make this goal unrealistic - 1) Google does not control the satellites that collect the images. Google only acquires the images from different companies and governments and arranges them on an interactive globe. Google does not decide how often or where these satellites take the images.2) Google is still subject to censorship. Google has had to pixelate buildings & places that are controvercial in places like India, Korea, and the Netherlands. 3) Real-time updates are not possible on a programme like Google Earth. If a satellite was collecting real-time imagery of Tehran, it would have to be stationed (centred) over Tehran - following Tehran but overhead in orbit. Not only is this costly to do, but I highly doubt that Iran would let a satellite that wasn\\\'t under their control do that - especially if the company/government operating the satellite was giving their images to Google Earth. Also, potential cloud- or dust- cover would make the satellite images useless for this purpose.4) Image resolution is not strong enough. The highest resolution satellites out there are still only ~20cm. This means that following protestors or vehicles with satellite imagery is difficult, if not impossible. Not that I\\\'m trying to bash this petition or Google Earth (believe me, I am grateful for both petitions & GE), but the goal is a bit unreasonable. Here are some links to the satellite companies that Google Earth gets its imagery from:DigitalGlobe:http://www.digitalglobe.com/NASA/ Landsat:http://landsat.gsfc.nasa.gov/SPOT Image:http://www.spot.com/?countryCode=CA&languageCode=en
