Please Pass This Information ForwardWhy is it that we are STILL being IGNORED by the Bureau of Indian Affairs? We are a federally recgonized Tribe that is being threatened to be evicted by the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department and we have done everything to make our District Congressman, and Senators aware of our URGENT situation. We've continued to request the assistance of the Department of the Interior/Bureau of Indian Affairs to help us resolve this URGENT issue, yet as of this writing, we have not received a call from any of our elected officials or any of the BIA agencies/officesMany college students from a vast number of Universities have pledged their support for us, they have stated that they would be willing to rally around our home in protest, to bring attention to our dire situation.Today, two AIM (American Indian Movement) members came by to check on us to see how we are holding up. We have received many calls from concerned citizens who are outraged at the way we are being treated by officials. We have always complained that this is how our situation became this bad... by officials continually choosing to ignore the problem.Local Tribes are upset and showing their concernThe Bureau of Indian Affairs has the TRUST RESPOSIBILITY to protect us... and they are not doing their job.... they should be ashamed. What does the local BIA get paid for? If I got paid, and ignored my job responsibilites, I'd be FIRED!!The BIA must not have any idea of how high emotions run when you are forced out of your home (as if it hasn't happened to Native American Indians before) but like they say, if one doesn't learn from the past, history is doomed to repeat itself....We are the "legitimate" federally recognized California Valley Miwok Tribe and we are not being treated fairly, our civil rights are being trampled on by the Bureau, we want equal protection. We are a FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TRIBE that should be treated no differently than all the other federally recognized Tribes across the United States.We are asking for the AMERICAN PEOPLE, to investigate into why the Bureau of Indian Affairs has allowed a non-Indian Chadd Everone (aka, DOCTOR INTERNET, out of Berkeley, CA) to be given through FOIA from Mr. Troy Burdick, Superintendent of the Central California Agency, Sacramento, CAa copy of our Internal Governmental Document (2006 Official Tribal Roll) that has confidential information of our Tribal Members. This particular document was not to be used as a public document. One copy stays on file at our Tribal Office and one copy was sent to the Central California Agency/Bureau of Indian Affairs.A few months ago, our Vice Chairperson happened to google her name and found that on a phony website set up by Chadd Everone, he had posted a document that he had received from Mr. Burdick through the FOIA. Mr. Burdick did not black out our personal information and allowed our names, birth dates and social security numbers to be placed in the hands of the non-Indian Chadd Everone to do with as he pleased. So in his viciousness, he posted our personal information on the internet...without any remorse or regard of the fallout of his actions as to what his reckless behavior would do emotionally to our Tribal Members when we found out that most of our personal information is posted for anyone to abuse.What happened to the TRUST RESPONSIBILITY of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Does Mr. Burdick release personal information of ALL federally recognized Tribes to any outsider who asks through FOIA or did he do it purposely for Mr. Everone because he and Everone are friends. Since we are bringing up FRIENDS maybe you would like to know a couple of Mr. Everone and Mr. Burdick's other friends, Mr. Peter Melnicoe and Mr. Arlo Smith who are ex employees of the Calfornia Gambling Control Commission (CGCC) who in return talked to their friends the current Chairman Dean Shelton and Cy Rickards who stopped our RSTF (Revenue Sharing Trust Fund) monies, on the word of a non-Indian and his FRIENDS!!Believe me...
