I would be inclined to oppose this proclamation. It seems to blame the country's problems on a narrow set of behaviors, whereas our economic problems seem to caused by a broad range of unethical actions driven by such sins as greed, fraud, and predatory lending. Also, I wonder how Jews or other non-Christians might react to such a parochial statement.

Following God's laws will automaticaly rid our country of the fraud, greed, and unethical practices. If you read the bible you will find that out.

Exactly to which founding father’s statement did you think non Christians would find parochial?; John Adams, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Story, Roger Sherman, Patrick Henry or Noah Webster?

There is no easy remedy for where the USA is today, since sin abounds and has for decades, as it was in Noah's time: everyone doing what is right in their own eyes. If Christians stand against immorality, abortion, defiance against God, etc., and insist for their right to freedom of worship, that is about all they can do. The wicked will never be stopped, for we are in a world that is cursed by God. The end of the age will come, and the Christians will suffer along with the ungodly. While the Lord tarries, we should be busy helping our fellow mankind where ever we can. God is faithful and He is still in control. Christ shall return, or we shall meet Him in death! We will not save "this present evil world". But we can share the Gospel. We look for a new heavens and a new earth!
