The BBC's adaptation of Robin Hood will not return for a fourth series, it has been confirmed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8132101.stm

All my family watch Robin Hood and were very upset with the death of Robin on Saturday. Now we have found out that there will not be a new series. TV on a Saturday night was worth waiting for with Robin Hood now I dont think any of us will bother to watch any more or we will watch Primeval on ITV as that was the only other thing worth watching. BBC 1 has let down 8 of its valued supporters. Shame on you BBC. angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

I understand your frustration. Thanks for supporting Robin Hood. Not to be the bearer of more bad news, but ITV has canceled Primeval. Dr. Who and Merlin are all that remain of family drama. When the BBC axed Robin Hood, they put an arrow through the heart of prime-time television.

to be honest i never realised how great robin hood was... a friend at work kept talking about it when we talked about favourite tv programmes, so i bought episode 1 on itunes and then well after watching that... i couldnt wait for series 1 to arrive in post, and series 2 and series 3... i feel bad i didnt watch the programme when it was broadcast and i feel ive only just caught up.i personally would love it for the bbc to change their minds, why else do we pay our tv licenses? they are scared to carry on the programme, theyve followed your usual story (with their own twists and turns) but as soon as something drastic changes they wont change the programme to adapt. hopefully if anything bbc have axed robin hood as a joke to fans to trick them because really they are making a new drama as a follow on called \"archer\"... if only smile.gif

This is really upsetting I live in the USA and i am just now finishing season 3. The BBC Needs to complete the story and continue on with several more seasons they cant leave it like this. Yes robin Hood is dead but they brought in archer pretty much his replacement ( a new Robin Hood). Come On BBC get it together and make a new season!

I was flipping through the cable channels one Sat. night and happened to get lucky and find Robin Hood- this at the end of the 2nd season. I was INSTANTLY hooked. I went online an quickly watched ALL of season 1, then season 2, and finally got up to current episodes, Then I discovered that I couldn't wait, so I finished online, I was enjoying the series that much!! So I was very upset when Robin DIED, AND that there won't be anymore seasons!!! Come on BBC you have a GREAT series, don't let it die with the Robin Hood character, just because Jonas Armstrong left the show! He was GREAT as the title, but the show has many good characters (& actors who play them) to at least give the shows loyal audience at least 1 more season!!!

I live in United states one Saturday I was flipping the channels saw passed one of the characters that i seen in another bbc series who was playing guy Gisbone. then i as i was seeing the show i really enjoy it the thrill and the irony as well the happiness. It really pulls u to see it. So what at the begining of the show start 8.8 million viewers ending with 2 million viewers. Robin Hood really is interested. BBC change your mind. Start the next season 4.

Have you ever noticed that good TV does not last long? I have a particular theory about it. There are too many cretins (aged 14-40) whose attention span does not allow them to follow plot or characters. Few good dramas still exist on TV, thankfully Law and Order in all of its versions and CSI are still popular. I would like to know if it was BBC's decision to kill it or the key actors's decision to leave that killed it. Regardless, it is (was) a great series and fun to watch.David Dubin, Florida U.S.A.
