Check the date on the article. It was published today, and they don't usually leave interviews to publish for weeks. Plus, in the interview, John has already seen the entire third series, so your argument is sort of invalid. Of course Gareth David Lloyd would like to do more! It's work with an awesome character. It's not always the actor's decision. I think John is extremely attached to the character of Captain Jack. As much as he wants to see a good gay relationship on screen, John Barrowman isn't only a gay man, just like I'm not just a straight girl. There's more to us than our sexual preference, which in a way is what Captain Jack is preaching all along. As for the salesman thing, he didn't have to say "I say this with my hand on my heart: If I were only asked to be Captain Jack for the next 10 years, I would do it." or "I'm definitely up for [Season] 4, 5, 6, whatever. For as long as they want to do it, I'm there." (which he did say in the article). That has nothing to do with the current series. Anyway, my point is, as upset as the fans are, and even if John Barrowman did like the Janto relationship, I don't think using that "John Barrowman wants to quit" is a fair argument, because he obviously does not want to quit. He loves his job and his character.
