Example Petition

There are a few different examples of petitions to discuss. So let's go over them, shall we?

The first example of a petition would be the type aimed at big business or any large commercial establishment. These are probably the most common types of petitions to be found online. Let's look at some examples of these types of petitions.

  1. This example petition is aimed at the housing market in New Jersey. Unfortunately, while their heart was in the correct place, their promotion of this petition is lacking a bit. Remember, if you can't successfully promote your petition it will be a huge failure because you won't get any signatures or in this case, very few signatures.
  2. Here is another example of a big business petition. This one is aimed at those annoying fee's you get for not having enough money in your bank account. They are basiclly making a bad situation worse by doing this. If someone is on fire and I throw more gasoline on their body, it's going to make the situation worse. Unless I'm a gangster, serial killer, or just plain crazy, I wouldn't throw gas on the persons burning body. But the banks do add fuel to the fire and they call it business model, others like to call it by it's real name which is just plain "evil"

The next type of petitions are the types aimed at government. You can find examples of these all over the place because like the commercial petitions, these are also a very popular type of petition. Let's take a look at a few of these types...

  1. The Dennis Kucinich petition is a great example of an online petition, except it's not like most government petitions. The Dennis Kucinich petition is really not aimed at making change, but rather it acts like an e-card saying thank you for a job well done. Of course, we don't endorse any political figure here at Petition Spot and this is only an example.
  2. Here's an example petition, or rather an "open letter", to former President Jimmy Carter. The basic goal of this is to show anger and disgust at what this petition creator and signees see as biased and corrupt actions by not only Mr. Carter, but by the Ethiopian government as well.

There are literally hundreds of categories that petitions could be filed under. Every category is different and every category has it's own unique examples of petitions that that have made a difference in the way things are done. Some petitions make our way of life better, and some petitions make it worse. Some petitions, such as PETA petitions, will save or improve the lives of millions of animals world wide. Some petitions will save consumers millions or cost them billions. Each petition is unique in its own right and each petition has a specific goal that it sets out to accomplish.
