Hi, now everyone knows that Harry Potter and the half blood prince has been moved back to July, it was meant to be shown in cinemas everywhere on November 21st 2008. However, due to rubbish reason from Warner Bros studio, it has been moved. The main reason is that they wish to get more money from us, just so they can be selfish. WE HATE THEM! So, we need to do something about it, I mean something that will affect them hard. So, if you can, sign my petition online. I need 50k, and then I can get a response, this may impact them hard.
Also, you can go onto this site, it give you the Warner Bros studio address when you can send Howler, this means you can write whatever you like, say whatever you like to them and they can never trace you. GOOD IDEA. You can complain, say horrible, threaten, blah blah blah. So, this is the address.
Time Warner Inc.
One Time Warner Center

ALONG WITH THIS ONE
Warner Bros. Studios

That should show them. Don't forget to sign my Harry Potter and the half blood prince petition because we have waited so long for this film, and we want it when promise.

No, they cannot, put no address and try and use the envelopes where you pull the sticky thing off so you don't lick it. They will never know it is you, I am going to send one soon.

Threatening WB will hurt our situation, not make it better. Handling this maturely with an angry but civil letter would be much more effective. Threats simply makes us look bad.

threatening is most definately not the way to go. the Howler idea is great but, no matter how pissed anybody is, we must retain our politeness. threats will:
Number 1: get us nowhere
Number 2: tarnish our image
Number 3: it will just piss everybody off, with no guarantee that it will get us anywhere.
i hate to say it, but if they've made a decision to change it and their minds are focused on that extra penny they might make, their minds are set, with no hope of changing them.
i sincerely hope that people will send howlers just explaining how upset and angry we are, and sign all these petitions, once this petition hits over 50k signatures we should send it to WB, i think it will have some impact..

I sent a polite letter to them saying that they should change the dates back. This is it:-
Dear Warner Brothers Studio,
I hope you are happy, for all the trouble you have caused. You have mad many fans mad because of what you have done. You moved Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie back to July next year, this is stupid. I know you wish to make more money but you are going at it in the wrong way. So many angry fans will not go see the film as they will wait till it comes out on DVD or go see it as a copy. So, you might as well move it back to November as you will still get the same money you would have, maybe less.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is a funny and fantastic book and we have had to wait for almost a year for it to come out in November 2008, but for you to just say that it will not is rubbish. There is no point in moving it, why? Many people have read the book and wish to watch the fantastic and amazing film by your studio, but this will only cause trouble for the future, they might not come and see the other film as they will still be angry with you for what you have done. So, please put it back. I am begging you.
Many fans will go to desperate measures to get what they want, I am being polite and mature and writing you a letter but some fans may go to such ways as threats or even violence. So again, think about what you are doing, please really think. Is this the best way on getting money, by people out there getting hurt, emotionally and physically. Because this is what is going to happen if you continue this stupid and a rubbish move.
I know you wish to have it in the summer to get more money, but having your fans wait almost another year is stupid. They will get annoyed and they have already seen the trailer, this is more stupid. Now they have seen previews of the film, they will get more and more impatient and angry with you. So again, please move it back, please I am begging you. I am a huge fan of your films, I love them all and I am a massive fan of the Harry Potter films and books. But doing this has upset me more than ever, I was going to go watch it, I was going to see you fantastic film but now, I don't know if I should, if I should wait that long for a film, should I? Will they? Think about it. Because many people have waited long enough and now, they will not be patient enough to watch it in July.
Thank you for reading my polite letter of concern for you and the fans, I am not threating you, but only warning you of the trouble this will cause, so please move it back to November 2008. thank you.

Ok I am just as upset as other people. But only because I was making plans around that date to go to Alberta and see it with my mom and brother. But I am not mad.
They did not move it to make people mad. They had an open spot in July that was not filled and filled it with the movie. They also want to see if it will beat out the Dark Knight cause they are releasing it on the same weekend. Warner Brothers should know that the same people that would see it in November will also see it in July.
They can do what they want. Who cares if it is released later. That just gives you something to look forward to during the summer, and also less of gap for the next movie.
But everyone is getting so mad and trying to threaten WB and sign petitions. Why? It's only a movie. And don't get me wrong I love Harry Potter, have all the books and movies. But it's nothing to get mad over, upset yes but not mad.
Harry Potter is supposed to be an enjoyment, for reading and watching. Now people are "lashing" out and threatening WB. And saying that they are being mean and that Harry Potter isn't about money ect. Well lashing out and threatening is not what Harry Potter is about either. So now who is not realizing what Harry Potter is about.
So instead of getting mad, mark the new date on your calendar. And donate the money you would have spent on the movie. Or buy someone something with it. Halloween and Christmas are coming. People should be happy. In the meantime read all the books again, if you need a Harry Potter fix.

The only thing that will really work, is to send them a polite letter saying that because of this action, we will NOT go see the movie in the theater in july 2009.
Had the reason been a proper one, like improving the film or something similar, it would have been a different matter. But this is out of pure greed - they just can't live with the thought that they might make even more money if they postpone the film.
So the only answer is to get them to understand that they will actually make LESS money by postponing the it. And the only way to do that, is not to go see the film in july 2009. It's november 2008 or nothing. It is for me anyhow, if I have to wait another 9 months, then I might as well wait 10 or 12 months and then find a way to see it without paying for it.

you all r crazy!!!! look i'm willing to wait for it considering the fact that when they made hp and the order of the pheonix they moved it back from november 2007 to july2007 and i was extremely disapointed of how much of the book that they left out. the 4th book is smaller than the 5th book and yet the 4th movie was longer than the 5th movie. they left out way too much of the good stuff in that movie. the 4th movie was 3 hours long and the 5th was only 2 that is what is really disapointing. if any of you have any sence in wut u really want you will wait for it to come out in july of 09 so that they make it as detailed as the book like it should be.

and think about it they also had one of their actors killed by some punk that started a fight with him i'm sure they also need time to replace him and probably photoshop the new kid into all of the scenes that were already filmed.
trust me you want to wait for it in july it will be worth it if they make it as long as it should be........

ya you're crazy u must be one of those people who think it's evil and trying to get other people to not go see it. well guess wut i'm going to go see it no matter wut and i'm going to the premeire too. i saw the 5th one 7 times while it was in theaters and i'll do the same thing with this one. i'm willing to wait for it as long as they make it as good and long as they should.
and it just so happens that they could very well be improving it seeing as one of their actors was killed by some punk. thankfully it wasn't a main character but he is still just as important as any other person and nobody should ever forget him.

it really sucks that we have to wait, i know but there will be other movies to preoccupy us...i know that's not too much comfort but we'll make it, i swear
on mugglenet.com they did a poll asking if you got to see the 6th movie early would you do it? over 2/3 of people said no. and i must say i have come to peace with that. i mean, think about it: if we get the 6th movie earlier then we have to wait soo much longer for the first half of the 7th movie, and i can guarantee that once we've seen the first installment, we'll all be mad that we gotta wait an entire year to see the second half of one movie, of one book.
