Full Version: Sentences, too short

Hello. I would to say that I believe that today's criminals are being given a sentence that is way too short. For example, they may rape a young girl who is underage but may only get 4 to 6 months in jail. This is rubbish, they should have up to 1 to 2 years in jail for this. However, they don't sentence them for long as they don't have enough spaces in jail for everyone, this is why I think that they should stop spending money on stupid things such as the OLYMPICS which has cost us a lot of money and try and pay for more secure and patrolled prisons where criminals can go for longer to think about what they have done.

Maybe we should stop sentancing people for selling pot to 20 years. Maybe we should amend what a real criminal is?

I think the sentencing should be death sleep.gif to the dealers that way the tax payers no longer have to keep up criminals

Honestly what we need isn't more prisons. We need to put judges in cheak. I have gone into a courthouse and just sat there. The judge is examining cases like he should and doing his job properly. Then comes this one person that pisses him off. Next thing you know everyone is going to jail even if there is no evidence other then hearsay. Our jails are over crouded for this reason. People are going to jail that shouldn't be there takeing 3 or 4 month for the appeal to go through. B4 the person get released for in sufficient evidence or the supposed victum admmiting to have lied about the person doing the crime. Once we get judges doing their job properly the jail wont be overcrouded. Then the criminals that should be there for a long time can be punished properly.
