Full Version: Juvenile *Violent Crime* offenders

I am so tired of seeing violent crimes committed by underage offenders on the News, and they can't show their picture because they are under age! If they are old enough to commit a violent crime, then they are old enough to have their faces posted so potential victims can become aware of WHAT they look like!

We are living in a time of great need for change in our laws, especially on Juvenile *Violent Crime* offenders. A Juvenile that commits a violent crime against another human being should NOT be *protected* from exposure to the public media due to age, and the laws need to be changed to protect the law abiding citizens that become the targets for these Juvenile offenders!

This world is just becoming too violent, too young...and law abiding citizens need to be protected at ALL costs especially our more vulnerable citizens such as our Seniors, Disabled, and those that live alone or with young children, who are prime targets for being victimized by these senseless violent criminals.

Citizens have a right to know what a violent offender looks like regardless of age, so that they can be aware of who to look for...especially in the cases of second or more convictions by one offender. Maybe BY being exposed to the embarrassment of public exposure of the crime, it might save *some* children from becoming cold blooded violent criminals who prey on innocent victims!

I have created a Petition for those who want to sign it.

Sorry Betty2, but could not disagree more. This would be wasted time & effort for such legislation. Better working to prevent this type of activity.

Hmmm..... Have you ever voulentered for "Big Brothers/Sisters of America"? You know, try to help these kids and provide a good role model? If not, please STFU!

Betty2 I completely agree with you. We are in danger of underage criminals that have been convicted of violent crimes that could hurt others. We hear about it on the news, but like you said we can't spot them in the street if we don't know what they look like. They should be shown on TV and embarrassed for what they have committed. We need to be alert and aware of the criminals in our area by knowing what they look like. I will sign your petition.

well it is no secrete that we need to do something about this, but all we do when we send Juvenile's to jail is educate them on how to become life time criminals. we need to look closer at the family's they come from and make a choice that they are not being educated at home in the right manner.

i agree with you sister or brother because i know a couple of criminial underage kids that i hang with. It would be a waste of time and a total waste of money.
