Well I have some suggestions for the forum..
1) A suggestions forum, to post things like this into.
2) An introductions forum, I noticed a topic earlier about saying "Hi." A welcome forum would be nice.
3) Rather than only having a single category and putting every forum in alphabetical order into it, I think you should add categories. For example:

News and Announcements: The staff will post the latest updates and news here.
Introductions: Meet the Petition Spot community!
Forum Feedback: Post Forum Compliments, Complaints, bug reports, suggestions and other feedback here.
Website Feedback: Post Website Compliments, Complaints, bug reports, suggestions and other feedback for the website here.
Staff Forum: Only Staff can Read and View this forum.
Trash can: Deleted posts go here for future reference if need be. Only staff can Read and View this forum.

(Forums)
Animals:
Arts:
Cars:
ETC:

Off Topic: Anything not covered by other forums.
Forum games: Play or create text based games.
Media: Discuss any television or movies. This is not for petitions.

Graphics: Get your graphics rated here or start graphic shops here.
4) Add moderators. There is a lot of spam posts here and no one can deal with them besides the Admin.
5) Add another admin. All good forums have at least two people managing them so suggestions and errors can be dealt with at a faster rate.
6) Add forum rules / Make the rules more obvious. I haven't noticed any, without rules people think they can do what they want.
7) Add more emoticons. Not a biggy but people love to use emoticons, as your forums grow you will find users who will want to use them.
8) Add a skin. Sure, this skin looks professional as it is but as the default skin it's not really that interesting. A petition spot based skin (Looks like the website.) Would be much more suitable.
Once all that is done this forum will be well under way.
On a side note or bug report, the "Television" forum is listed twice. Once as "Television" the other time as "Movies and Television".
