Yes port-forwarding is a pain in the ass, but it\'s not difficult, and while the petition is cute, until 2k releases a patch, you\'re not going to be able to host online games without getting off your ass and learning a little. I\'ve never forwarded ports before, but I learned how yesterday, and have been playing with no issues ever since. No, you shouldn\'t have to do it, but you do, so here\'s how: - Go to portforwardcom - Select the model of your router - Select your game (Borderlands) - Follow the step-by-step instructions. - Host your game.

port forwarding will not work for everyone. For example the bt homehub will only allow port forwarding if you disable DMZ. Which means you cannot use the phone for free calls. There is another option that doesn't involve port forwarding. And that is to use gameranger. http://www.gameranger.com/It allows you to host and join games. I have tested it. And although it does give you a message saying that you may need to open ports. It did work.

I forgot to also add. They cannot remove the need for port forwarding. I think you will struggle to find a pc game that doesn't require it to host. It's not the games problem. It's because you are going through a router. And the whole idea of having ports closed off is for security.

Not only this, but also the General Protection Faults.
