I support this petition. Man is becoming swallowed up by the diversity of his surroundings and a bit of one;s genealogy brings a smile to the heart - after all, I am somebody!
Please allow the 1921 census to be released. It is an important part of geneological research. In the US the wait is 72 years for release nof census information as the very large majority if these people have died.
I support this petition in the interest of family research. Parish records are incomplete at best, and making the census available to the public would greatly improve the amount and quality of information available to those trying to research family histories.
I support this petition, in the interest of family research. I hope very much to be able to further track my Irish ancestors using this tool. Thank you for considering our petition and we pray for swift and positive results for those of us removed from our Irish roots by time and geography!
I support this petition wholeheartedly. My mother's family name is rare and difficult to research from the British mainland, especially on my very limited means. The chances of my being able to visit before the older generation pass on are slim and at 57 I may well depart myself before too long!!
I support this petition.
I would love to have the availability to find my many ancestors' residencies in Ireland. Without more information, it is not worth a trip to Ireland. One must be prepared before hand, to know where to go in Ireland. Opening these records would be a wonderful help to me and innumerable others. Thank you.
I support this petion on the grounds of the disastrous situation in relation to the Irish people being denied researching their true heritage !!
It truely would be in the intrerest of good faith if this cencus was released.
Does the Irish Goverment realise how many frustrated people there are ,(both in Ireland and right across the globe)in relation to their roots that unfortunately were distroyed.
I consider this would be a proper and true gift to the nation.
