I know there is a connection and this would assist greatly for my father's family are all with our father in heaven. Please make theses census returns available so I can give my father this possibly last gift.

I support this petition.Decendants of Irish Ancestry have long been proven supporters of their ancestoral homeland and this would only enhance this further.
I support this petition. We need all the help we can to find OUR PAST from the Irish goverment please don't let us down .some of us our crying out for more help we have know where else to go
I support this petition. My father was "illegitimate". He was born in 1926. He is now deceased. He died in 2004 at 78 years of age. It would have helped to have the 1926 Census to help him find his birth family. The only other Census we were able to use was the 1911 Census and that was 15 years earlier than the 1922 Census. I am 51 and would like to see the 1922 Census before I am 69 years old!
I support this petition to enable the availability of reliable records for genealogical research in the future. The lack of similar records for most of the 19th century in Ireland is making research particularly difficult .
I support this petition to open the 1926 Irish census to publuic viewing as soon as possible. This is an extremely important set of records and should be preserved both in paper and electronic form, and be freely searchable to the international Irish community.
I support this petition. On my g. parents (Murray) mother side they came with their family to Canada from Portstewart, Derry in 1929. My father side his ggrandparents came to PEI in 1842.
I support this petition.I would like to find relatives who might still reside in Ireland. This census would be invaluable in finding them. We want to hear their stories before they die.
Thank you

I support this petition. Ireland has suffered such a loss of records that this step is needed. Even babies born in 1826 are older people now and their parents are deceased.
I support this petition. As a second Generation American, All 32 of my Great Grand Parents, having been born in Ireland, before civil Registration, the release of the 1926 census would be a windfall of information for my families history. Please pass this bill. I am already 65 , how much longer will I have to wait. Better yetwhat will expire first the sewcrecy of the census or myself :-)
Thank you for your consideration.

I support this petition.
Ireland has shown Britain the way in releasing the 1911 Census; it is hoped that it will continue to provide a lead by also now releasing the 1926 Census. Signed from one of the Irish diaspora in Australia.
I support this petition. I was born in Ireland. The 1926 Census is the first one my late mother was enumerated on. It would be very helpful doing my family research.
