I really don't understand why our dresscode has gotten so much stricter. If they gave us background information on this, like a recent school crime(s) involving the choices in clothing, I might be a little less angered by it. If it was an experiment to see how well kids behave under certain circumstances, then at least give the students undergoing the experiment the right to vote or give a speech to why they should or should not end up under these conditions. Though since neither events had occured to my understanding, this new Dress Code has been much of a nuisance. I mean, seriously; when I come back to school, almost most of my old clothing will have no value in the school, except for a used shirt with the logo "Carr Bulldog" on it.

Whats worse is that we can't wear jeans. WHAT CAN YOU POSSIBLY FIND OFFENSIVE ABOUT JEANS? God.

Whatever. Watching my little brother trying to play Mario Kart has gotten me in a good mood, but that doesn't completely distract me from the point that the new dress code should not be placed when next semester comes around. They really shouldn't, and I really hope it was some sort of joke put in just to see how the students would react.

hm, even though i kinda doubt this petition would really be effective towards a school board that depreciates the opinion of us kids, I\'m all for the cause :D. The first amendment states that we have the freedom of press, religion, etc. and petition, assembly, etc. But this is manipulated by the demands of these adults whom are citizens of the United States. I believe that their decision to ban jeans and force us to wear polos is not legitimate. It won\'t make schools any better, since schools should actually focus on making their academics better, like math, where we are behind other countries by at least 3 years. Also, the fact that our parents wouldn\'t have time to show up also develops a disadvantage to us. Apparently, schools will only listen to you through your parent, which, in my view, is pure stupidity. What\'s so offending about jeans? Well, they\'re basically the epitome of a normal kid\'s wardrobe. I think they shouldn\'t set that much of a limitation on our wardrobe. They should change the WAY that we\'re dressing, not what we are wearing. For example, they should tell us to wear jeans that aren\'t suck-in-your-tummy kind of fit, but the kind that actually FITS you.. I don\'t see how wearing polos will solve any problem. I\'ve seen some 8th graders in our school that wear polos and still expose tons of cleavage. It disgusts me that they\'re the kind of people that are influencing the school board to do such a thing. Sure, they didn\'t know the way they dressed would affect anything, but wake up; don\'t you think that people are watching? -.-\

yeahh this dress code. where do i even begin? they shud just get the kids who dress innapropriately. whats so bad about like pants that arent plain i would LOVE to know. polos are alright tho i wear them anyways. but honestly some kids rly dont wear this kinda clothing and it only causes continual controversy. i agree. . .they cnt give 6000 kids detention

uhm honestly i dont see the t-shirt point. i guess i can live but it doesnt remove any conflict, and only makes more. if a kid is wearing jeans too low, ask him to pull them up i rly dont see the point in this

The new dress cods is so incredibly... useless. WTF! its a public school. What do they expect? Whats wrong with jeans! Most people i know wear only jeans. This new \'dress code\' is unecessary, and makes students and parents buy clothing that they most likely dont like. What ever happened to freedom of expression?!
