i want more old style castlevanias , nes and snes, not commercial **** and f.ucking anime **** created by igarashi.
more old school. the nes and snes old versions are not from igarashi mind.
If I took a hamburger people loved, and took out the meat, lettuce, cheese, and tomato, and replaced these ingredients with cereal, noodles, and asparagus, it would no longer be a hamburger, it would be something COMPLETELY different. Please, Iga, you ROCK!!!!! Don't take the fans' hamburgers away.Thank-you for all of your hard work.
how about following capcom's onimusha blade warriors where it is halfway between 2d and 3d? It'll be cool...and please have more mythic and historical references...
make more make more make moreeeeeeee, i need me fixxxx come on 3d isnt working- 2d is the way- need a proper multyplayer- or co op- soma and julius side bye side.
and a world map with like 5 castles - bring back the old skool fight for 2d rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-A home console could easily play a Castlevania Anthology, so why not put it out b4 the N Revolution lets you play some of the games through their twenty-year back history system that they're going to have? Don't say that most of thosa games could not fit onto one disc.
- CV4 and SOTN still RULE over most of the games out there. CV3 also.
- I like Lament Of Innocent's story.. I just didn't like backtracking.
- 2D seems like the way to go.If it was going to one of the new home consoles, it could be a huge monster of a game. 3D would have worked for CV also, if only they could find the right people to work on it. LOI was a great game, it just could have been better.
-Let's just not let the CV storyline get sloppy. They're are a lot of characters, a lot of plots, and a lot of dates. It's important to the fans, so whatever comes out of this, just make sure you do it right.
Castlevania Games should only be made in 2D. Symphony of the Night is probably the best game I ever played and it was not a very complex looking 3D title. Simplicity is the key.
The 2D Castlevania games are still the best. It would be nice to see a 2D one again, but with this or the next generation's graphics. The gameplay on the 2D CV's is still where it's at.
I would love to have that old 2D Castlevania feel again on the home consoles...I mean the 3D games are good and all but I just feel Castlevania would be better 2D.
I've played Castlevania since 1989, since the first game, so I've been a fan from the beginning. Castlevania III, Chronicle and SOTN are my favourites, and keeping it 2D would PRESERVE THE TRADITION all true, hardcore Castlevania fans have come to know and love. I tried Lament of Innocence... didn't like it... Curse of Darkness HASN'T GOT ME EXCITED AT ALL... it's not that I don't believe Castlevania could somehow be great in 3D, but PRESERVE THE 2D TRADITION by AT LEAST MAKING, IF JUST ONE MORE, 2D game.
That, AND/OR a Castlevania Collection, of the whole series (but personally, it's okay with me, if you exclude the 3D games and even if you don't include the Gameboy games)... you could release it in volumes, like 1-4 on Volume 1, and Bloodlines, Chronicles, Dracula X, SOTN on Volume 2, etc. It would also be awesome if you enhance the graphics and music, but if not, STILL RELEASE IT.
WHEN you do release it, include Dracula X: Rondo of Blood... it's the LEAST you owe us Western fans for all the support we've given to Castlevania 8)
I apologize if I sound like I'm asking for too much, but WE are not... it's the LEAST all us TRUE, OLD SCHOOL HARDCORE Castlevania fans want, because we're FAITHFUL to the series.
Castlevania will always RULE!!!!!!
KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK, IGARASHI, AND BEST WISHES TO YOUR FUTURE!!!!!!
Castlevania would not be what it is today, and have existed, if not for you. It's not JUST a game, it's something you created, to be proud of.. and so are we. You created it... we worship it!!!
The 3D "Castlevania" games are fine, but look at where the really cultic fans lie--"Symphony of the Night." Most of the 3D games are forgotten within a few weeks of their release.
Please, please give us a hand-drawn, high-resolution 2-D Akumajo Dracula in the spirit of Akumajo Dracula on the Super Famicom. Old-school values, hard-core gameplay, great music. I'll love you for it!!!!! I'll even compose the music for free if you need me to ( teach music composition)!!! Thanks!!!!!!
-Paul "Wallace" Esch
Castlevania was MADE to be 2d. Sure, Lament of Innocence was fun, but 2d is what Castlevania's all ABOUT! You wouldn't strip Mario of 2d fun, would you? Why do the same to the Belmonts?
As strange as this may sound, SOTN and its successors all ended too soon. I would like too see a game of at least 4 times the length, with more playable characters, endings, and weapons to find. Also, I'm a big fan of the art and tapestry found inside the castles, so I wouldn't mind seeing a limited edition book of the art found in Castlevania.
We need more 2-D games!!! Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Dissonance, and other Castlevania games like that will always be my favorite over the other 3-D games (Not saying they weren't good, believe me! They were!) But we must have 2-D!!
The best ever Castlevania was SotN. If IGA can make a 2D Castlevania that is better than SotN, then I think all Castlevania fans should sign this petition.
2D gaming is a piece of history, along with the Castlevania series in general. There is no better way to stay in touch with the history of video games and focus solely on building a fun, solid game than to continue to create games in the 2D realm.
Castlevania has always been its best in 2D. With all respect, it should move to 3D, but should also continue to excel in the 2D realm with innovation and experience
I just love the 2d artstyle, im a fan of 2d hand-drawn, plus castlevania makes the gameplay so awesome so you cant go wrong with a castlevania 2d game, for consoles, or portables, either way, its gonna be an awesome game .....if its in 2D.
Dracula X : Rondo of Blood was an amazing experience and over the years i did not forget this sensation. Thats why it will be painfull if a remake of this master piece is not released early.
Oh please, "Shin-Dracula X" is what THOUSANDS gamers around the world DREAM since SOTN was out! be sure of this!
Every 6 month I play again SOTN over and over and hope to see a sequel just the same: killer ambiance, stunning 2D graphics, heavenly soundtrack, and good gameplay. 3D is too much of a fashion but the true gamer prefers the 2D fighting and 2D castlevania. 3D Castlevania are very good game but do not feel like "Castlevania" IMHO, please! please! PS2 Shin Dracula X with nice 2D effects! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
I love playing super metroid but after playing SOTN i love this even more than metroid. best 2d game ever. I hope you continue to make 2d castlevanias with alucard in it.
Thank you Igarashi san for the amazing effort that was Dracula: Nocturne X. It would be would great to see another 2D Castlevania game brought forward on the next generation of consoles to show that 2D can still be viable and sucesfully impelmented.
I'll let everyone else praise the game...I need to address something here. I coined the term "SOTN Syndrome" to describe the imbalance between the player's strength/skill and the game difficulty. I wouldn't have made up a term if it wasn't that bad! Igarashi, I beg you, DO NOT make the same mistake you made with SOTN. Challenge is part of what makes CV what it is...I think we can all agree that not only do we want another 2D Castlevania on consoles, but we want one that isn't a total cakewalk! Yeah, a lot of people love SOTN, but it's important to point out its flaws so Igarashi is aware of them. Otherwise, CV's return to consoles will be disappointing (for me, anyway). Despite all the praise, SOTN was not a perfect game...it was overrated, even. But I say this out of love for the series--give us another 2D CV game on consoles, but don't insult us. You know who your audience is, so you should also know that we've (most likely) been playing the series since day 1--we're big boys and girls, we can take the hits!
I fully support another 2D Castlevania for a console. Some of my best memories are with Casltevania, and those memories come from Symphony of the Night. Europe can suck it if they don't like 2D games. And so can people who don't respect classics.
I really think Castlevania's identity IS 2D. The 3D episodes have a big lack of deepness, strangely. We ALL want a new episode in beautiful 2D!
I pray...
Koji Igarashi, you are my hero! Without people like you in the industry, 2D gaming would be as dead as the use of vector graphics in games. You make a home console 2D Castlevania and I will gladly support you with not only my money, but my work on various sites.
Get it going man! :)
I have been fan of CV as long as I can remember. And the best Castlevanias are 2D Castlevanias.
Koji Igarashi, I once lost my childhood, but I found a way back to it with your games.
Please make more 2D Castlevania games. All that is best is not 3D.
I wish you all the best and much success,
Your Fan Raziel.
Please, please, PLEASE do another 2D Castlevania! The two things I would love to see in 2D would be a sequel to Castlevania SoTN, or a remake of Dracula X, ala Castlevania Chronicles.
Please do an updated version of Dracula X, don't let this game (imho the best Castlevania title) never see the light of day in the US and Europe.
Please! I would give my firstborn child to see this happen!
