I would love to see a international release of a Dracula X special edition that included the original Dracula X and SOTN. Also it would be fun to see a new 2D game or even perhaps go way back and remake the story of Simon Belmont as one large game..
I support this petition...let's go back on quality of Super Castlevania IV on Super Nes. I hope a Castlevania like this one will be develloped on Nintendo Wii.
Although the 3D Castlevanias have been great, I've enjoyed 2D Castlevanias a lot more. Besides, where's the sequal to Lament of Innocence? I'd rather see a 3D Castlevania with more open areas, more action, but all with keeping with good Castlevania action. Add more of an RPG aspect, towns, NPCs, something to set it apart. Don't just make the 3D games emulate the 2D games. Hell, if you can't do that, keep 'em 2D. (Yeah Konami. Don't be afraid to do something new and exciting.)
Who says 2D gaming sucks? Who says it's only for the vets&oldies? I'm a gamer who just turned 20,new to the castlevania frenzy, yet i'm already soooo addicted to the action, even to the original franchise. And I know there are thousands out there like me who sees the often underrated beauty of 2D gaming...
I'd love to see a great new innovative sidesrcoller for the Wii just to see how the unique interface could be used in it. I loved the 2-D games of my youth and while the 3-D updates are nice, they lack that nostalgic feeling that 2-D updates have. (One of the reasons i cant wait for New Super Mario Bros.)
Castlevania started 2D, and every great castlevania game has been 2D. SoTN was a masterpiece and I can only hope we could see something as amazing on the PS2, perhaps even the PS3.
Castlevania has always been what its about, 2D, and I love it that Portrait of Ruin is coming to the Nintendo DS in all its 2D Glory, but just imagine what a home console could do to 2D-graphics; talk about a living game!!!
Mr Igarashi, please listen to your fans, we urge you to consider creating an unforgettable experience for home consoles.
Thank you in advance / Viktor Mars
Symphony of the Night, while behind the times graphically, was and still is a fantastic game. The DS and GBA games have proven that 2D games sell. I have confidence in Konami's ability to make a 2D game that can shine on a home console.
I support this petition.
well its bout time somthin like that happens.
like the PSP game why not a home console , i still play SOTN till this moment so i really think a 2D home console port would be best since there is not much life left for the current generations with the ps3 and the X360 .
The Castlevania-series will always be best rendered in 2D, 3D just doesn't do them justice! Bring back the love into our hearts, Europe, at least us worthy gamers, LOVE 2D as much as we love 3D. Bring Castlevania in 2D back to us, thank you...
NEW 2D castlevania. No re-makes please. Of course we all know SCEA is gay and hates 2D games so this would have a tough time being published in America.
I support this petition. every castlevania game that I have played in 3d SUCKS. Castlevania SOTN was the most memorable gaming experience I have ever had.
I support this petition.
I'm from Europe and I like both 2D and 3D. But the castlevania games seem to be better in their 2D incarnations. So please IGA...give us a new Castlevania in 2D.
It is sad to see what the commerical world has done to Castlevania. I think devleopers would be pleasantly suprised by the success of a 2D Castlevania for a Major Platform
I whole-heartedly support this petition. A good 2d Castlevania like Symphony of the Night on a next generation console would most undoubtably win awards and be a great experience. PLEASE make it!!!!
I could only imagine how sweet and gratifying it would be to fully plan my own death. I have only recently become obsessed with death and the dark world of snuff. I have met numerous souls who are also bent on that final high that only a truly horrific death will bring when fully intertwined with sex and even drugs. A final day of excess and depravity. Even a last few hours or just a few minutes of perversion so extreme as to drive most men and women insane. This is the kind of death I crave and will have. It’s as if I would be forced to go back in time to a more barbarous time when death with honor was a way of ascending to heaven.
This is not something that can be done in solitude. This kind of death needs to be, if not witnessed by many, at least filmed or photographed to be shared for all time. Many have tried to do this with a gun or by jumping from a building, but they pale in comparison with what I have planned. You see, they did things on impulse and were barely one step ahead of getting caught and had to rush things.
I, on the other hand, have been thinking about this for over a year and reading everything I can on the subject of snuff, suicide, murder, torture, pain etc. I’ve also viewed and studied every real life death pic on the internet. Not just the dead scenes you see on the major sites, but the totally gruesome gory shots on the lesser known sites and groups. It’s the violent, bloody, gutted bodies and dismemberment shots I drool over.
The one problem is, that I will have to have some help to quench this gruesome hunger. Of course, I could always build a guillotine and pull the handle while being filmed, but that would be too quick and uneventful. I could construct a gallows and do the same, but again, so what. There are some wild and incredible machines that can be built to slowly kill yourself, but I would just lay there and wait and what if something went wrong?
When I am found, and that will be the finale of the event, I want people
I support this petition , just because I wanna see how Iga & co. does all 2D-related stuff that the handhelds can't handle, like Guilty Gear level of clarity,smoothly- animated frames9ala Street Fighter III) and stuff.
I support this petition. To me for the most part it doesn't matter if castlevania is in 2D or 3D. However my only problem is...symphony of the night gave youn alot of options on demand(Spell casting w/o switching items, dual wielding, etc) and the previous games only give a few options and well IMHO it kinda pisses me off every time i think about it. However we are here for a 2D castlevania (or a 3D castlevania resurrection):) and im all for it!!!
"Until 3D can be done right 2D is the ONLY way to go."
You just canceled out your statement.
How do you expect 3D to get better if the only games they make are 2D?
Hurrrr. Jesus Christ. THINK.
And yes, Curse was quite fun. But these people automatically condemn anything in the 3D realm. Dumb****s.
Truthfully, I must say, Ive never been a big fan of 3D 'vania. . .If youve ever played Rondo of Blood, or SotN, they are the best games Ive ever played. . .Although, if Ive read correctly, its not IGA who wants to make 3D, it's Konami. I doubt they'll ever make another home Symphony, but we can give it a try. The 2D castlevanias blow the doors off the 3D ones.
When is this going to be sent? It's like the creators have forgotten of its existence.
Doesn't really matter, though. I would hate for this to get through to Iga, seeing how stupid most of the comments are.
Why is everyone bashing the 3D Castlevanias? Christ, open your minds.
Castlevania in 3D CAN be done right. The team just needs to get better designers for the level design. Then the games will be fantastic.
As it is, Iga's 3D games are still fun, and you people shouldn't bash a 3D CV just because it's "3D." You're not "old skool." You're not "hardcore." You're just idiots who think because something is in a different dimension, it automatically sucks. Get real, you biased *****s.
In any case, I support this petition. I love 2D Castlevanias, but I also know CV in 3D can be done right, and Curse of Darkness would have been the best in the series, had it not been the mundane level design.
I support this petition. SotN is quite possibly one of the greatest games of all time. If Konami can make handheld epics of the same sort (and make quite a bit of cash of them as well) surely they create a 2d "metroid-vania" style epic on the PS2/XB/GC or even... dare i say it... on the 360?
