im a castlevania fan since 1987..sotn was the best game i'll ever played. we hoped u can remaked rondo of blood to home consoles. like gradius V, 2d gaming but with a touch of 3d background..especially for cut-scenes, dats awesome! castlevania rules for eternity!
The Playstation Generation has wrecked havok upon the realm of 2D games. We've all seen those sales stats... bring back Castlevania!
I warn you to avoid SONY; recently, they have become fiscally, rather than artistically, focused...
As the days go on, people do and will realize more and more the greatness of 2D gameplay. I love 3D, but 2D finds its place too.Hopefully the next-gen will bring beautifully drawn High- resolution sprites along with those stunning 3D graphics.
I love 2-D games. I thought Castlevania SOTN is by far the best of the series. I thought the 3-D versions were the the crappy ones in the series. PLEASE bring 2-D back....PLEASE!!!!!!!
The recent GBA Castlevanias have been, without a doubt, some of the most fun games to come out in the last few years, and while I've enjoyed them immensely, I know that their potential is being detrimented by the system constraints. Besides that, consoles are simply much more convenient to play on. I still play Symphony of the Night, because it's the only Castelvania of this style that I can play with a real controller on a real screen. I ask that you show me that you can produce something new to put into my PS2 or 3. Perhaps even something better.
I love Castlevania, and I love it best in 2-D. Don't be afraid to explore a home console's capabilities with a 2-D game. There is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't work! Keep up the good work. You guys are great!
Ever since I finished Symphony of the Night, I've been waiting for a real successor. The GBA games don't cut it. Online petitions don't work, but I love to read things I type on the Internets.
Mr. Igarashi, I have enjoyed all of your games. But I yearn for the days when I could play a magnificent SotN-style game on the full screen.
You claim that atmosphere is the one thing that makes you love Castlevania the most, but it's hard for me to get absorbed in the beautiful worlds you create when the screen is only a few inches wide and tall. Please, convince Konami to let you continue your 2D masterpieces on the big screen so I can have my senses blown away!
The possibilities, in terms of the sound, graphical, and gameplay qualities are profound.
I'm not a fan of Castlevania games. However when I played over 30 popular PSX games in 1 day, Castlevania: SOTN was one of the few that I truly enjoyed and came back for.
It's about time we had another 2-d castlevania on a home console. 3-d is not the answer, but rather its what you can do with 2-d. Push it to the limit, like you did with Symphony of the Night.
Please. I love Contra, I love Metal Slug. I think that 2D style games on Next generation look amazing. If you use all the power of a PS3 for a 2D castlevania game, it could only be beautiful.
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence is a wonderful game and Curse of Darkness looks really exciting, but there's just something magical about 2D Castlevania games. I fully support Iga's belief that Castlevania can be great in 3D, but I'll always have a secret hope that there will be a next-gen 2D Castlevania game.
well i do have to point out that 2D may not be as graphical as 3D, but Castlevania still needs to be in 2D, its what Castlevania is. But i could see making a awsome 3D playstation 3 castlevania, i would buy that.
hey if its getting programmed to hand helds, why not use the pSps hardware?
Definitely 2D. So far the consoles hasn't been able to handle the series in 3D very well, they lack power.
Hey, why not add Symphony of the Night as a bonus to Curse of Darkness.
Po eso...ke me cago en la madre de kien sea como no hagan juegos 2d en consolas de mesa y Castlevania uno de ellos...(en español pk en inglish no se insultar...) Adeuu
Yes, please make a 2D Castlevania for a console, but don't pick just ONE console, release it on all 3 (Revolution, X360 & PS3)
Also, take the games out of the castle already, let us explore forests and towns (Like Castlevania 2)
