This is a shameful miscarriage of justice that hurts all of us. All efforts must be made to reverse this great wrong which Efren Paredes has suffered. We demand justice!
I support this petition. It\'s time \"We\" understood that the truth is that which must win! With truth goes freedom. Do not ruin this young mans life, Freedom is yours to give!
I support this Petition. Do the right thing and let this guy go free. It\'s sometimes takes a big act of courage and faith to admit one\'s mistakes. This is the perfect opportunity to show that act. Thank you for looking beyond color and seeing into the spirit.
Free Efren Paredes. How many more times must we endure these cases where racial fear and police intimidation are the engines that drive these prosecutions?
Shame on our joke of a justice system for blaming an innocent man for something he did not do just because he isn\'t white. Disgusting, that\'s the only word to describe the judicial system.
I support this Petition. If there is evidence to suggest in anyway that Efren is innocent then I ask that his case be re-heard. Thank you for your compassion
I support this Petition. A gross miscarriage of justice took place and we owe it to this young man and his family to now move swiftly to ameliorate all that we can the needless pain and suffering that has taken place. Please move this to the top of your agenda. Thank you!
I support this Petition. This is a horrible injustice. People have ;been let out of prison (convicted murderers) after two years and this young man who is innocent has already served twenty years. Where is Justice ?
What is now being asked for is no longer a retrial, but your granting the request for the commutation of Efren Paredes, Jr.\'s sentences, following the public hearing which was held in Dec. 2008. Even though the hearing was not intended to establish his guilt or innocence, it seems clear that Paredes has been the victim of a wrongful conviction. In addition, his prison record and the activities that he has devoted himself to during his 21 years of imprisonment demonstrate beyond doubt that he would be a constructive member of society, if released. I urge you to decide in favor of his release.
