Once you will be happy that someone help you but when nobody helps you that might be the consequence for the reason that you do not have helped the dogs in giving them to Germany!
Greece cannot take her place with the rest of the civilized world until she acknowledges and accepts responsibility for her animals! Please free the dogs so they can go to their new homes.

it seems that Greece is still a very corrupted country. When are you going to change? You are a member of EU, start behaving like one. Europe means no borders, for people, animals, ideas. EU means cooperation between member states. Greece wake up! Since the dogs would have a future anyway there, let them go to Germany and Holland to their new families.
Greek authorities never cared about strays. They only care to give poison to animals to get rid of them. And now all this theater play, just to show that they care about ''their'' strays. Why dont they care about pet shops that sell sick and exotic animals, hunters, circuses, live stock transported in awful way, abused onwed animals, awful public shelters, and the list goes on? Release the animals immediately!!!!
There is nothing to be gained by holding these dogs when they have homes to go to. Please release them now and end their suffering. The more people who become aware of their plight, the more your tourist industry will suffer.
If you can't find it in your hearts to realease the dogs, at least explain the reasons that you have apprehended them. To the outside world, this looks nothing less than a flagrant abuse of power, and inhumane treatment of animals, who are unable to speak out for themselves. If there is a proper reason, we should be told, if not, the dogs should be released to the charity who has done so much to help them.
Shame on Greece. There are so many Greek people that dont agree with this attitude. The government and authorities need to change their attitude and let volunteers and welfare organizations help the strays, like they did for so many years not. I wonder what happens with all the money we get from EU for building shelters and improve animal welfare. Free the dogs and start behaving like a civilized country
A dissapointed Greek
Here are people of other countrys how are willing to help Greec to solve theyr problems with stray dogs and cats. This what we do as EU members. Greec has not undersatud the EU system jet and is at the same time not capable to respect and treat animals the way they are suposed to be treated. Respect for living beings must be learned also by Greec soziety. If the governement can not set examples for a proper approache to animals how shout the publik be able to do so? Free thes animals right now bevor you loos your face to the rest of Europa and the world.
