Although I'm not going to 100% boykott Greece as a tourist land (if all the Brits/Germans/Danes/Swede s/Hollaners etc. do that, who would take care of Greek pets then?), I feel desperately disappointed with a behovior of Garagouni & Co. In the mind of those people the feeling of national proudness simply took place over love and mercy, what a dangerous development, especcially for a woman! Clearly, Mrs. Garagouni is my nominee for a 'Female Macho of the Year'!
It seems to be a joke, that specially the greek people (goverment) want to save the dogs. How do they think? if they would think clear ,they would release the dogs.
What's going on in Mrs Garagouni's narrowminded head? Is she insane? Whenever I see a Greek in Germany again, I'll remember that name: Garagouni! Don't let one crazy woman ruin Greece's reputation!
One of these 58 dogs might probably save lifes if the chance is given!If not and if there will ever occur an earthquake in Greece, we will NOT be able to send our dogs to rescue your people!
I demand that the Greek authorities immediatley hand over these dogs to the legal ownwers, the Arche Noah! Until Greek authorities and Greek people do not care good, friendly and without cruelty to the animals in their country, my family, my friends and thanks god some of my neighbours and colleagueswon't buy greek goods and go for holidays to Greece.
Instead of just benefitting from the european community, this so called "civilized" state of Greece should stick to the rules every other nation also is obliged to! Is this the way one EU-member treats an other? Greece must clarify its actions! The government is responsible for her own actions and therefore must pay also for the consequences of those actions, not Arche Noah. Greece has a failing policy on stray animals, not Holland or Germany. FREE THE ANIMALS FROM THE BEASTS!!
What a shame, those who try to help are stopped by those who do nothing. What does the goverment do, what does Mrs. Karagkouni do to stop the misery of those animals and to help?
If Greece is a civilezed EU-member it should behave like one.
But neglecting the animalrights-orginisation , or rather trying to boycot and destroy them is inhumane. Free these animalsand be happy foor those lucky dogs that they find a new home (in a more civilized country)!

Hand over the dogs immediately to the families who had adopted them. You have NO right to detain them. It's really unbelievable how you treat these poor creatures. Let them go!
