There is no doubt 7im puts in enormous effort. That said, his assumed authority and arrogance no doubt discourage new and long time folders alike. His visits to other forums where he frequently flouts those forum\'s rules and convey authority he does not posses are also detrimental, and make a mockery of his demands for people to obey forum rules on the FCF.
If you really care about the F@H project, imagine how the perception and participation of folding would improve if people felt respected for their efforts and appreciated for their contribution; which is voluntary and the backbone of the project.
I hate to be negative because I believe he\'s really trying to help. His methods however tend to alienate rather than encourage. Perhaps he should not be in a position of authority until he learns better people skills.OTOH, he did post a link in the MaximumPC forum that pointed to this petition. That shows he should at least be open to suggestions. Maybe the results will cause him to reflect on his actions.
Well he has annoyed the hell out of me on OCAU acting like a real PITA. I really hope something comes of this as he has lost sight of the real goals of Folding@Home
I agree with this petition, even though I have not been to FCF, but his actions towards other folders at various forums has been nothing but childish. It is time that he is removed as a moderator over there at FCF
