We will not purchase locked down Windows Phones!

Windows Mobile:

Function: Extremely capable OS
Form: Dense, outdated user interface.



Windows Phone 7 Series:

Function: OS crippled by a lack of basic features
Form: Intuitive, modern user interface.



Microsoft has selected form over functionality and that is a decision we can not and will not support with our own monetary funds. Microsoft, you\\\'re decision to neglect basic features such as...


- an open file system accessible to the user

- copy + paste

- true multitasking

- true customization


... has resulted in our collective decision to boycott all
future Windows Phones until the above issues are addressed.

Ok guys, we reached 1000 signatures in 4 days. I am going to hold off sending the email for another 4. I am confident that there are many more people out there who wish to sign. The number is steadily increasing and I'm going to let it do so for a little more time. I ask that you guys direct people who are complaining about the OS to this url. However, don't go posting about this petition in random places of no relevance. We are not on a campaign to spread resentment or to hurt Microsoft's reputation and product, but rather, to indicate to Microsoft that a significant portion of their mobile customers are unhappy due to the points listed above. Thank you for your support.

I am raising the goal. I am not going to necessarily wait for the ten thousand, but nevertheless, I think it makes sense to raise the bar.
