This city is ridiculous. Two greedy corporations prevent everyone from enjoying the Super Bowl in HD. Someone should lock WTVC and Comcast in a room on the eve of the Super Bowl and not let them out until they come to some kind of agreement.
I subscribe to Comcast in order to get their wide variety of HD programing that is not availabel over the air. I don't want to have to buy a reciever and antenna to recieve HD broadcasts from one station. WTVC needs to get thier act together and get on board.
WTVC broadcasts in HD. You can see the game in HD with an HD reciever and an HD antenna. Because there is no retransmission agreement with Comcast (or Charter for that matter), HD is only available for free, over the air; not on a pay service like cable
I support this petition. This is the worst sports town in America. First I can't watch a NATIONALLY televised Kentucky game on CBS because of a telethon, and now THIS!
I support this petition. Get your sh** straight Comcast and WTVC. Go Hi-Def or I'm out of here (broadband, digital cable, Hi Def, the works). And Fox HD better not be far behind.
I support this petition. This is past-due and I hope this happens soon. Not only would we miss the Super Bowl, but the World Cup is on ABC HD this summer.
I don't blame Comcast for this. WTVC is demanding payment from them for thier Hi Def equipment, which neither WTVC or WDEF have done. WTVC is losing viewers and revenue because they won't come to an agreement.
By cutting off the best possible way to witness the Big Game (aside from actually being there), you'll be upsetting a lot of fans with HD sets who want to max out their viewing experience.
