In 1994, Universal City Studios teamed up with MCA TV and created the "Action Pack." This program featured weekly Made for TV movies. Movies ranged from Hercules to Vanishing Son to Smokey and the Bandit and Midnight Run sequels. These movies have not appeared in television since they first aired. Hercules was the only Action Pack released on DVD. Recently, I came a cross The Midnight Run sequels starring Christopher McDonald released on DVD...in HUNGARY! The Brian Bloom "Bandit" movies have also never been released. At least not in the US. Maybe some people have forgotten them, maybe there is so little information on the internet, nobody knows anything. I would absolutely love to see a DVD release of these movies. I mean if all of the basic mainstream TV movies can get their DVD releases, than why can't the Action Pack? I'm talking no more then a boxset for each movie: i.e. "Bandit Action Pack" featuring the four movies and "The Midnight Run Action Pack" featuring the three sequels and so on. Why should only Hercules get the treatment?
