Afflecks Palace cannot close, people in Manchester have only few places to go to buy alternative clothing. Fight against the people trying to turn us into mindless GAP clad clones.
I think afflecks is a place that caters for the majority of urban sub culture in manchester, a place where people from all walks of life can find something for them, for it to close would not only be a travesty but a bullet in the cultural head of the city.
It needs to stay open for the creative people and students, which are a big part of the Manchester population. Already lost the colloseum-Keep afflecks open.
Why would you close down Afflcks? No one will want to continue developing in the Northern Quarter and making it the cool place to be in Manchester if its focus has disappeared
How can you close somewhere like Aflecks?! Things like this really annoy me how many places are gona get shut down or closed with promises of better things when in reality whatever is created after it never has the same effect or makes the same amount of money so in effect that then closes down!! Aflecks is a landmark and has been for some time...over 16 years!! Its something that cant pre re-created anywhere else its for keeps!!!
Afleck's Palace is one of the few places that retains the old charachter of Manchester, we can't turn it all into high-end stores and yuppie apartments. I'm all for development but if it ain't broke don't fix it?
Afflecks is what makes Manchester different. It has been around for years and years. It's important for helping people express themselves. If it disappears then it would ruin youth culture and turn the City into a clone of all the other cities. It will only be concerned with making money from powerful business people. Building the Hilton was already bad enough...at this rate Manchester will be a mini-New York.
this is towards that franchalino guy. Afflecks Palace does not suck. You suck for saying it sucks. Afflecks is 1 of the best things that happened to Manchester. But yet again the rich snobheads of manchester think that they have all the authority and start splashin out there money on destroyin the cool places and changing them into old borin places. And woukdn't offices stand out a bit to much in the northern quarter.

why would u want to shut afflecks down?? its a one of a kind place for us people in manchester! to close it down would be losing a huge part of what manchester is all about!!!
Afflecks is an integreal part of manchester life. ppl flock from all over the world including the famous eg, morressey, Alice Cooper, murder dolls to name a few
