You have got to keep aflecks open! It is my fave shop in the whole world and i swear if yo close it... i will actually turn emo =[ so keep the place OPEN!!!!!! PLEASE! I LOVE AFLECKS!!!
Affeck's Palace is one of the most emblematic places in the Northern Quarter and in Manchester and should be protected for the benefit of the residents and the image of the city.
Is there nothing that the council can do ? I do believe Afflecks to be part of the cultural heritage of Manchester. I went to L.A. in the summer and people knew Afflecks Palace when I was shopping on Melrose ! Seriously ! xXx
please dont shut afflecks down.. there are so many memmories there for me and my mates and mates i dont even see anymore going to afflecks on a saturday and to picadilly gardens was the best times of my life its different and it deserves to stay open not only for people who come from other places for us people of manchester .
I don't think Bruntwood are stupid enough to allow the place to close.
But putting up the rent will kill it anyway, the whole point of Afflecks is to allow new designers, shops outlets to have a chance in the market place, if the rent goes up the whole point of having Afflecks will be lost.
this is just ridiculous. afflecks is one of the few interesting things in the town centre and its always full of people. you shut industries and centres down when their dead not in their prime.

Afflecks palace is one of the reasons why the Northern Quarter is a diserable place to live. By closing it down the Northern Quarter would lose a massive chunk of its identity
I bought my first music poster in Afflecks, bought alternative clothing (who can forget the "Ravena Berries"?), and I bought my first skateboard in Afflecks Palace... Its culture at its best. Pull down Harvey Nicols instead!!

I find it ridiculous that they should think of shutting it down. That could trigger the downfall of the northern quarter, losing space to commercial crap. Fight on to keep that area safe I say....

Affleck's Palace is the heart of the Northern Quarter, without it the atmosphere of the whole area would change, thereby defeating the Council's policy to promote this as the creative area of Manchester City Centre. I remember walking through one afternoon and my mate bumped into Ian Brown. We stopped and he said sorry my mate said`punk` I said `That was f`in Ian Brown` and he was so shocked he ran after him and said sorry. We need this place.
I would hate to loose Afflecks. I have been shopping in there for years, why would anyone want to close it?! Where would I buy my jeans from?! The high street shops doesnt sell baggy jeans, just 'boy fit jeans'.
