i met a person in portugal.i told her i liked her watch,and asked where she got it from.and she was all 'have your ever heard of afflecks palace in manchester,england?' and this is PORTUGAL.its THAT important to manc.so in the end,i really doubt it's going anywhere.

Also why close down a shop of just 1 in the country when you could close down many other shops like jjb or any other sports shops to make your bloody flats, it symbolyses uniqueness rather than closed-minded chavs who torment us, thats why we need afflecks to get away from the disscrimination that they use against us, close down JJB or any other of them, chavs have many ofthem and we are loosing ours.
there's plenty of abbandoned buildings in Manchester, why not use them instead of a place people enjoy going to and a place people come from all over the country to just shop at.

you have to recognise that there aren't only trcksuit wearing wannabe gangsters in the world, and that people have differing tastes. i'd come all the way up from london to go to afflecks, the idea of closing it is actually rediculous.
On a basic level, it's one of the best places of its kind: however, it's more than just that. It's the home to a vibrant culture that's stretched back years and years. My parents have good memories of Afflecks, and so do I.
Afflecks cannot close down, it has been and should continue to be an intrinsic part of the Manchester scene, and is without doubt one of the reasons there has always been such a vibrant feel about the city from the people who either visit or live there. What other place in the country can you buy obscure detroit techno records and vintage clothes with nearly everything else you need in between? If the building isn't listed already then it should be to stop property developers from completely ruining the thing that Manchester is famous for, YOUTH CULTURE!
Afflecks is what makes manchester such a special, brilliant place. without it, manchesters just the same as everywhere else. please dont allow this. Keep the palace!! afflecks is so awesome DO NOT shut it.

Afflecks is a great place, HOWEVER, it annoys me slightly that there's great little bits of it, brilliant little weird shops that you don't get anywhere else, but then there's a lot of it that mindlessly generic, bland, boring, pointless...
But nevermind, save it for the sake of the arty bits of it. It's a cracking place.
My hometown, Halifax, has slowly but surely delapidated into a place where I wouldn't be found shopping due to lack of anything interesting. I've since moved plans to Manchester, and Affleck's palace shutting down would make me lose faith in England completely. That's all.
How could any one think of turning such a varied, alternative and cultural shopping centre like Aflecks Palace into a block of flats? Look around in Manchester, there are so many flats available, why do we need even more? And Affleck's is amazing, it and its stall holders don't deserve this.

u cnt close affleks becos iv onli just discovered it recently n its like a day out without affleks well have nuffin for us individual ppl hu dnt care wot ppl think bout us n ull be taken over by chavs we need affleks its like a day out for us all u cnt close it. IT ROXXXX!!!!
Afflecks is a landmark 4 alternative stuf its 1 of the best places i know 2 get whatever i need plz dont shut it down its too grooveh we really dont need any new flats we need this place to stay open for all of us who like to be different you cant take our individuality away from us!!! xxx
