Afflecks Cannot be closed.
Im 15 Now and i can honiestly say the only thing in my wardrobe that isnt from afflecks is my School uniform.
By Closing Afflecks it would getting rid of so many memories and so many people who have shops there.
Now please take into consideration of all these opinions.
Really Afflecks has been around since before i can remember, i was opened up to it by my best mates older sister in 1995 and i'm sure many other people have similar experiences and many generations to come should also have that experience, it opens the eyes to a whole new world for people. plus it has many very original shops which maintains the uniqueness of alot of the people you see walking around manchester. more than don't close afflecks WHY close Afflecks it doesn't make sense

Oh mam oh man Afflecks cant close!!! Everytime i come to Manchester its the first place to go - its unique and exciting and theres nowhere else like it in the country, to close it would be a travesty! I hope this petition is seriously considered :(
This place holds many great memories for me, to shut it would be a sin! Too many greedy fat cats are concerned with making money and not with listening to what people want! Make this petition count!
Please don't close I have the best memories of the place from being young and I look forward to introducing my daughter to the place when she is older!Manchester doesn't need anymore apartments, the place is a legend!!
afflecks means more to me than you will ever know. my mum and aunty shopped there wen they were my age i shop there now i want my kids to go wen their my age. afflecks may only be small but it attracts people of an alternative nature from hundreds of miles around. we need more places like afflecks not hav them destoryed. jus take a second to think about what you are doin to a vital part of manchesters history and culture. please consider our words. we need afflecks.

omg!!! these ppl are crazy! you cant just shut a great place down 4 no reson- the worlds gone mad- noone is allowed to be individual anymore!->places like afflecks(n ther isnt many of them)help us b us!!! bleurgh- doesnt make sense.
why close 1 of the best places in manchester?
this is 1 of the coolest places I know... I meen were else plays Rock music and sells cool things u cant get any were else??...I think I anserd my own question there lol ... I say keep it open!!
You cannot close Afflecks Palace.
It should be a listed building, seeing as it has been there so long. My uncle used to go there as a child.
If you close it to build some development on it which will be nowhere near as good as Afflecks, manchester will lose its identity, and i agree with everyone else that it will jsut become another city with no unique culture. x
ooh ooh the fratellis came on in afflecks right before i went to see them and we danced around and it was all funky... so please dont take afflecks and fun fun times away from me... plus they sell ace hats there...
It's been a big place in my life and a lot of my friends and also a lot of total strangers even for many years.
To take away a huge part of Manchester's modern heritage would be wrong on many levels

It really will be sad if Manchester becomes like every other city centre with only 'high street' shops and no identity. I first went to Afflecks 15 years ago (!!) and it's still the first place that I take visitors to when I'm back in Manchester - they always say they've never seen anything like it - and ALWAYS buy something..Afflecks should be supported - and NOT closed.
why close it? to get rid of manchester history just for more profit and pathetic its not all about money. plus if its shut where will we buy nice clothes that they dont make a billions copies of? ey??
