Keep Afflecks open! Do not allow the money grabbing companies to close something as iconic and individual as Afflecks. To quote Chuck D of Public Enemy...'Fight The Power!'
Afflecks is a huge reason for Manchester's reputation for alternative chic, style and success that has built it's economic renaissance. It would be suicide for the City to let it die. Maybe the businesses could move en bloc?
Death to capitalism; the drive to acquire more capital is the sole priority for companies like this - they couldn't care less what we think... this petition will have little or no effect, not under this system.
aflacks is the only place with original clothes, without it we've got high street, market or marks and sparks and all they produce are clothes that the girl stood next to you is wearing..please don't close our outfit generator x
pleeeease dont close, we love Afflecks nowhere is like it. We dont want commercialised crap, we want 2 b individual and we can do that with the stuff in Afflecks! pllleeease save it, i'll spend more!
There is no where else in the UK like Affleks. It was very important to me growing up as somewhere I could meet like minded people, and in this age of identikit high streets, anywhere that encourages small local buisnesses should NOT be closed down. SAVE AFFLECKS!
Please don't carve up the city's history and culture any more. A place like Affleck's will generate more long term investment in things that matter, overlook the quick buck just this once, please!
afflecks is the only cool place left in manchester to shop i like it because it doesnt sell the run of the mill things like most globalised shops do today making this into flats would destroy part of the character of manchester and make in into yet another cloned town :(
Afflecks is one of the main reasons I go to Manchester. Its one of a kind and it would affect a lot of people if it is turned into flats, not only the people who shop there but the people who work there.
I love Affleck's, it's cheap and caters for such a wide range of alternative genres. If Afflecks closed i'd have no reason to go to Manchester again!! Please, don't close it - EVER!!
the closing of afflecks could only have bad effects on the public and storeholders. afflecks provides a safe environment which is self-contained, and provides youngsters with the fashions and merchandise they would scarcely find anywhere else in manchester. afflecks is part of manchester's heritage, and if searching on google, just look at the sheer amount of great reviews on the place, from locals to visiters. it never ceases to amaze people and provide them with fantastic finds. if leeds can have their corn exchange full of magic wonders, surely manchester can have it's afflecks? think about the repercussions before closing this place - many young people will have lost somewhere where they spend every weekend. the customers which fill the building, i imagine, won't be too happy either.
afflecks has to stay!
you cannot close afflecks. this has been part of manchester for me, my peers, those before, those WAY before and those to come.
the last thing we want is more flats.
this is like when they closed the redhouse all over again!!!
yet another step towards making each and every city in the whole entire country exactly the same as every other city. who needs more new looks and topshops eh? places like afflecks are what make a place unique and therefore should be celebrated not converted into another apartment building.
IF Affleck's closes then you have just destroyed Manchester, seriously. Alternative stores are dying, Toxic Trading is dead, Afflecks HAS to survive. Those flats would be crap, KEEP AFFLECKS! Screw those goddamn flats, afflecks brings life into people, it makes them laugh when they see weird and wonderful stuff and well if it dies then fuck you government, fuck.. you
