Afflecks was a way of life to me and my mates when we were growing up, it probably still is now.
It's apart of Manchester to me, please don't shut it down!
I am from Greece and I study at a university near Manchester. I ravel to Manchester once every month specifically to visit Afflecks and I love it there. And in Greece there is noting like it, that is why i told all my friends from Greece that when they come over I will definitely take them to see Afflecks.
I have travelled to Manchester specifically to visit Afflecks, it's an amazing place. It is more than just a shopping mall, it's an experience and a community.
Before I lived in Manchester I used to visit Manchester just to go to Afflecks Palace, closing it would mean less people coming to Manchester, its part of our cultural heritage...keep it open!!
Keep Afflecks open, its a great place to go for my clothes and with my friends, it better then hanging with all the scummy chavs in other shops, we need to keep afflecks open! love rosanna x

You have to save Afflecks Palace....you just have to...I used to buy my outfits from there for a night out at the Hacienda, it's worth saving just for that. Come on now this is important, more important than inflated fuel prices!
It's kinda like a time capsule to 1993 and it's so much more expensive than it used to be, but we all love it for what it is and it would be sad for it to become yet more 'luxary' flats.
AFFLECKS CAN'T CLOSE???? It's a central part of alternative Manchester, and a key component of the bohemian Northern Quarter. I've known a number of people who've been able to set up niche businesses that they wouldn't otherwise have been able to do. For it to close would be such a shame. It's one of the few things that still manages to distinguish Manchester from every other town centre in the UK.
Please dont shut down Afflecks, its part of Manchesters heritage and culture, just becuase people who shop there want to be individual and not like the rest of the crowd.

Afflecks is part of the heart and history of the city and to close it down to turn it into even more second homes for southeners up north would be truly grim.
It's one of a kind is Afflecks and it would be absolutely criminal to shop there. Favourite shop for the coolest clothes and clubbing accessories. It's such a great alternative to the High St Shops whom all sell the same clothes....

pretty soon manchester will only apeal to one type of person without place like afflecks, citys need divercity to stand out and its such a great place. I've been shopping there for 10 years and hope its still there for my daughter to do the same.
Keep culture alive and well. Affleck's is a place of history and community, to close it or make it more exclusive detracts from it's reason to be there. Counter-culture forever!
Affleck's Palace has been serving us with many wierd and wonderful stuff over many years, it is the only Iconic shopping centre left in Manchester and it also gives stallholders the chance to earn their living and sell merchandise that we can't get anywhere else!
I am in the music industry and and before I went solo I was in a boyband, we kitted ourselves out with cool stuff from Affleck's, stuff I have still got to this day!
If Affleck's closes down then you are taking away a MAJOR part of Manchester's REAL heart!!
