Oh my golly gosh! Why must people ruin things when things are so good. Afflecks is one of the best and only places of its kind in the north west to shut it down would be ridiculous man! Build houses some place else. Afflecks is one of the best places and it makes you feel at home it has a rural edge to it which just makes you fit in come on ive seen loadsa different people in there from teenagers to pensioners. come on see sense and leave afflecks alone. Without a doubt afflecks was solely responsible for all the hideous creations I chose to adorn myself with during the ages of 11 to 15. Having the opportunity to experiment with fashion at an early age hastened the realization that I looked a bloody state. Without afflecks I would not only still be a walking wardrobe malfunction but also wouldn’t have the opportunity to piss myself on a regular basis whilst looking at old photos. Keep the kids in bad taste – KEEP THE PALACE OPEN.
afflecks needs to stay open there are things in that place you just cant get anywhere else!!!!! its as culturally valuble to my generation as the opera house or manchester cathedral and you wouldnt go converting them into flats now would you!!!!!

I second Helen's comment, it goes to show how horribly corrupt the City Council are. A massive Casino instead of Afflecks? I fear that they're putting their eggs into the wrong basket & they'll go the way of Blackpool in 10 years time if they keep this stupidity up. Afflecks IS Manchester and WAS my teenage years. So many people love the Northern Quarter for a reason!
I remember the times when me and my mates were just getting into metal and used to come here all the time.:-) Every time i go into the centre i always try and get to aflex. Such a cool place. It has to stay open!!!!!

Closing Affleck's would kill a significant part of Manchester and its youth/alternative culture.
It would also cause an uproar and break millions of hearts!
Afflecks needs to stay. its so unique and unusual... amazing place to fill everyones needs. Closing will lose part of Manchesters soul... and just give more money to high street stores so everyone is walking around in the same stuff.
This place is the best, closing it will become a scar on manchester that will never heal. Afflecks is a culturally diverse centre point for for the whole of greater manchester.

Afflecks palace is a cultural mecca, people from different cultures and with different interests meet and bond.
To tear it down to create more generic flats in the city centre would be a shame. Manchester needs to keep it's heritedge and not festroy it to become another london. We are who we are and people love us for it.
please don't get rid of afflecks palace. there is a bit of my heratige there. it is also has good shops u don't get them anywhere else. as a pose to topshop and primark.
Aflecks is a fantastic place and it has been a treat for me, my friends and my family to visit, so gettin rid of it would be just stupid. soooo many thousands of people love that place and it needs to stay that way!
