How can you even consider closing an eternal era such as Afflecks?! Are you mad or just completely insane you stupid fools?!!! That would be like removing buckingham palace from London!!!!
This would be such a massive mistake! Manc is already tailor-made for the yuppies and Topshop kids - don't steal the one thing that still marks it as unique!!!!
This must stop now. The governments would do better to put a limit on the number of children per family rather than try to support them by building copious houses. Kepp culture alive, we're becoming a blank faced antion as it is.
it's one of the only things left which keeps Manchester original; it is amazingly unique and ive lived in Manchester all my life and still havent seen every inch of the place!

Afflecks Palace has been a part of Manchester for years. Its a huge part of Mancunian Culture and heritage.
Their are way too many Flats so please, save something that is unique and special to our beloved city x
I've never seen Afflecks, but I've seen fucking millions of flats! Surely theres something better to tear down & build on, like the Printworks!

Closing Afflecks would mean a huge loss to a lot of people. It draws people together from all over the country and it'd be a shame to lose something so important to youth culture (and to older people as well!).
why? :( dont close it ill be upset. where will i shop. My friends got me banned from quiggins ill have no where to go....other than salsa but thtas nothing compared to Afflecks.

i live in the Isle of man and go to manchester as often as possible and is always the first shop i drag my mum and dad in! everywhere else i go i get abuse for being different dont close afflecks down it's paige's palace lol .
think about it, if afflecks goes for flats.... a chav cud live in 1, we would be losing the best place in manchester 4 a few chavs! no way.
If afflecks goes paige will never go to manchester again i will hav 2 go to gigs elsewhere instead of the M.E.N arena and u will hav my life on ur hands

im going afflecks to go shopping for my bday on the 24th this month and its amazing. I always go about 6 times a year some of my friends go 23 times a year lol.... KEEP IT OPEN
I used to shop there...now my daughter does...it's a wonderful,unique place that will be sorely missed if destroyed and turned into flats or apartments
I've recently seen every single place I hold dear turned into flats....My schools, cinema I went to every week, places around my local park, shops I remember as a child and the hacienda!!!!...please dont add this to the list of culturally significant buildings destroyed out of pure greed...they really mean something to the people. I can just see the advertisements for the flats...Afflecks Palaces....you've shoppped, now come home :S
