If you close down Afflecks, you will gradually lose most business from every other shops. As most people visit Manchester, just for Afflecks alone, and while there, they visit the other shops and buy stuff from there. So if you close down Afflecks, the profits from the other shops are just going to decrease. Manchester will look deserted.

I've been dropping into Afflecks since the late eighties, It's always been the best place for an unusual gift, a freaky item of clothing or a rare record. Like Lowry or The Smiths, it's part of our heritage.
it provides a hell of alot of alternative fashions & services which just aren't available on the high street.
Also consider how many independant businesses run there, & therefore the hundreds of people who will be put out of business. afflecks is such a huge place with so much to offer. closing it down would kill so much character from manchester.
Afflecks is one of the main reasons why the people I know go to Manchester. It's a completely unique shop and there is nowhere remotely like it for imles around. Don't close Afflecks Palace!
Well, if this place closes wht a loss of an experience for future alt kids in the area. If it closes, there will be no point in travelling to Manchester and making a day of it!

please don't close afflecks down, it the only place where we can go to get our type of clothing, most of the wigan shops have been taken away from us already, taking afflecks away is just discriminating against us, why ain't other shops like topshop/primark/mk1 been shut dwn?

Afflecks Palace is a landmark in Manchester. There's flats going up everywhere, but don't take away the good things inbetweem them. Afflecks should stay.

Don't close afflecks its a historical landmark. My mates mum used to go wen she was a teenager its loved even by the older generations. Who cares about new flats honestly.
I actually own 'Art & Soul' which is an alternative shop in bolton so aflecks is competition really but You cant close aflecks palace down...it is an institution of manchester and to start getting rid of places like this will only lead to the downfall of the northern qtr itself. Manchester is an individual city why join the ratrace and become just like everywhere else for the sake of an extra few bucks. SAVE AFLECKS!!!!
Afflecks is a part of manchesters culture, history and our economy. It would be a travisty if some half-baked dim-wit decided to close it. LEAVE IT ALONE !
