Its one of the most decent places to shop in Manchester and alot of people love it! Not to mention all the job loses aw well. Well i certainly am not standing for this crap.A big part of our culture would be wiped clean if we allowed this to happen!So we can't stand by and let it happen!!!

But yes, Afflecks has been in Manchester for ages! Even my nana remembers it [[she's 76]] so that's really saying something.
Afflecks is part of Manchester's culture and part of what makes Manchester unique! It's far more interesting to shop there than in all the other chain stores where you can go anywhere.
Whenever someone I know wants something a bit abstract, I always send the to Afflecks Palace, because even if they can't find what they want (which is very unusual) you are guaranteed that someone there will be able to tell them where they can get it! Afflecks is a large part of Manchester's identity and without it we will just become another 'modern' city full of yuppies that only buy overpriced stuff from Selfridges.
I adore afflecks, I remember taking my sister for the first time. My elder brother took me, its part of the history of our generation. LONG LIVE FLECKYS!!
Afflecks is a great place! I love it, and so do the mass of people i see walking round it when i enter. Why close down something that makes people feel happy? Even Jrock fans can find a sense of belonging here!
I just got my birthday dress from afflecks today! It cant close down! How many more flats do we need? If afflecks was no more it would also affect all the fab vintage shops and cafe's and all things that make manchester unique dissappear. Without afflecks manchester would become like all the other commercialised cities where the same shops can be found everywhere. x
Afflecks is one of the places i found some sense of belonging, it has many different cultural qualities and it really is a one of a kind place to visit. I remember my first visit with my mum who regularly shopped there when she was young and i would like for many other people having the opportunity to witness such a fascinating place.
If aflex closed that would mean a major change to manchester cause it's the place where all the 'uncool' people go. When you go there no one cares how you act or look. There will be a third world war if it closed. Trust me. xx

How could anyone even think of closing Afflecks!! It truly is a one of a kind place! Theres no where else like it! I really dont know what id do without it, I shop there all the time, its the only place that sells that type of clothes/accesories and has that vibe Dont let it be shut down!
Affleck's Palace is a hugely important cultural landmark providing things that many people cannot find anywhere else such as certain alternative music, visual art and clothing. It's part of the vibe of Manchester. It's part of my home. For many Mancunians removing it will be like stealing their favourite armchair.
Recently, I have read a lot of reviews where Manchester is rated as one of the country's top cities. The shining jewel set in the crown of Manchester, is said to be the Northern Quarter. It is praised for its relaxed bohemian atmosphere and the eclectic fashion on display. Since we all know high street shops stock exactly the same stuff, where do you think this 'eclecticism' comes from? I can say it in two words - 'Affleck's Palace'. Please do not be fools. Please leave the heart of Manchester alone.
I'm one of the masses that would be drawn internationally. I've heard the best things about Afflecks, and it seems there's just no place like it, especially in the States!
I know I'd love to go there, and I bet a bunch of my friends would too. Please don't shut it down- so many of us soon-to-be visitors haven't even gotten our chance!

I started going into Afflecks when I was about 13, and it influenced my life. Without it I wouldn't have made such good friends and become the person I am today. It gave me shopping and meeting places, and the confidence of knowing that though I didn't fit in, neither did anyone else. Give other generations the same chance!!!
i go to afflecks every time i go to manchester its its full of great things to buy. its the only place where you can escape from chavs and everything there is really great. To be hones, manchester's gonna lose a hell of a lot of income because without affleck's it'll be full of chavs EVERYWHERE. not good.
I fist went to Afflecks over 10 years ago when I was 16 and had never seen anything like it - still haven't. It's unique!! I still go there now, it's the best place to get presents from. I would be gutted if it closed, Manchester would lose part of it's soul.
Afflecks can't close down, if it does, many people will be hassled by trying to find somewhere else that sells their trend of clothing. Afflecks is the one place for miles that gives people a chance to escape from the breed of "chavs" who think Manchester is "their" city. Closing afflecks would mean ruining people's lives, destroying styles, and giving kids more of a reason to create havoc on streets.
Manchester doesnt need more flats, its in desperate need of shops that don't tell is what we have to wear, that doesnt say this is the fashion. Afflecks is the one place that does this, why destroy one of the most important things in Manchester.
We've both been going to Afflecks since our mid-late teens and now our teenage son is a regular as well. It would be a huge loss to the alternative community and would destroy an important part of what makes Manchester such a cool place to be.
please dont close if you do then i have nowhere to get my stuff cos i live in blackpool and they only have this one tiny little shop called twisted and it is WAYYYY to expensive in there and aflex is my only option i aint goin further away then manchester

afflecks is brill. i get most of my stuff from ther and its a good place just to chill in. its there where i meet all my friends and socialise with new people. so just keep it open !!!!
It's a known fact that if Afflecks closes down, people will stop going to Manchester. Afflecks is what attracts younger people to Manchester. Close it down and you'll just be ruining one of the most unique places in the country.
Having experienced Afflecks Palace last summer when visiting Manchester (I'm Canadian), it would be a real shame if the city were to loose this amazing store!! It was definitely a highlight for me.

Afflecks Palace is testiment to the diversity of manchester and appreciation of multi-cultural socities. There are very few places like Afflecks Palace and it is one of the reasons why manchester is so successful. Tear it down and your digging yourself a whole.
