I would like Afflecks palace to remain as it is i know there would be an increase in rent but maybe some form of charity could be put together to try and help this problem.

Afflecks is a fantastic place, I love getting lost in there and looking at all the weird stuff. We don't need any more flats and chain stores! Please leave it alone.
afflecks palace is the one place with shops that have something ifferent about them , thats something special about any shop , thats why people go there because it is a shoping centre that strives to be different it is one o my favourite shops in manchester so KEEP IT OPEN !!! there are other places to build flats on places that nobody will mind about taking away (just dont take away any old peoples allotments because thats just tight because its keeping the world alive and not pumping out fumes to damage the ozone layer)you can tell that i am a young personand that i obviously like afflecks palace so BUILD SOME WHERE ELSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! there is probably nowhere else in the country quite like afflecks so why close it. where else in manchester can you find most of the things in afflecks. there are plenty of other places to build flats but the one and only afflecks palace cannot be replaced
Please dont close afflecka down, I have been going there for the better part of the last two years and it has alot of stuff that interests me and my friends. Plus, if they decide to go where will all the moshers and goths and ppl like us going to go and shop for hoodies and such.... I'll tell you NO WHERE!!!!
WHAT!!!! Ive only been to manchester 3 times and TOW of them have been specially for Afflecks, first time i went i was introduced to the legend that is. I spent like 3 weeks wages there last time its that good. Flats are are a bit lame, an....to the owners, how much money would it cost to convert the building into residential, would the return be worth it in the long run????? Even if it is, the individuality of manchester dies, i think the only other shop like Afflecks is in Birmingham.....I doubt anything said by anyone will change the minds of these cash grabbing, corporate big wigs. Think of the little people for once, without them, where would you be?
have been travelling from the lake district for years and now in my thirties still try and get to afflecks twice a year before going to gigs it,s a ritual for me and my friends and also inspired me to become an indipendant trader.i feel so passionate that teenagers of my generation this and the next need a place to be who they are and feel welcome without judgement it isnt just a cool building with great shops it is an absolute refuge for so many different souls we must not allow big fat greedy developer arseholes take this away.
Afflecks is an essential part of Manchester, to close it would be like cutting out the heart of all the people who have crossed its step! Long Live Afflecks! And if the ppl who own it up the price, may I suggest that every mancunian go down and donate a penny, and help these guys keep open such a legendary place!
Every Time I Go Into Manchester I Visit Afflecks But I Can Never Find My Way Around! But It Is One Of My Favourite Shops In Manchester Next To Forbidden Planet And HMV.
Noo! What would I do without Elysia!! T^T! Closing it down would affect so many people, mostly the traders, but also hundreds of fanatical customers! Developing it would just turn it into another boring corner of Manchester!
Affleck's is THE heart of the Northern Quarter and represents the individuality of the city that makes it stand out from all the rest! to lose it would be beginning of the end of this fine city. We already have more than enough glass monstrosities blighting the city skyline, we don't need anymore.
afflecks should not be closed down!!hundreds and hundreds of people only go to manchester BECAUSE of afflecks palace!! theres nothing else like it around north west and the city will loose all them people coming to shop there to shopping online instead. i remember going there when i was as young as 14 n its always been a special place to go.
dont let afflecks shut down! its the main decent culture of Manch! take it away and u leave us with nowhere to spend our hard earned cash on decent things!
