Britain is turning grey and boring, this has to be stopped!Character is vastly underrated by those who think money is all that matters. This town has character, but it won't do any more if we turn everything into flats and shops.Keep Afflecks open!
I AM 39 YEARS OLD. I GO TO MANCHESTER BECAUSE OF AFFLECKS, LOVE THE PLACE. JUST BOUGHT MY 4 YEAR OLD SON HIS FIRST ITEM OF CLOTHING FROM AFFLECKS SO COOL.THIS WORLD IS SO MONEY ORIENTATED WHEN WILL DEVELOPERS REALISE THAT MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.COME ON DEVELOPERS DONT BE EVIL LEAVE AFFLECKS ALONE.
Affleck's is too important -culturally, socially and for Manchester's heart- to get trampled down for yet another Starbucks/ block of overpriced flats.
Affleck's is an incredibly important part of contemporary Mancunian culture. I have friends who haven't been to the city for 10 years or more, and still, some of their most prominent memories will be of Affleck's. It's changed a lot over the years but it's changed as the city has changed. I defy anybody to spend a saturday afternoon in there and not appreciate it's importance to the young people of Manchester.
It's the only place to shop if you want to be an individual,I shopped there 30 yeare ago and now my 16 year old daughter there it's the only place to go,we used to spend the whole day in there,and now I get to take my daughter and have some quality time with her,being able to buy the kind of clothes she likes.
I spent many a Weekend specifically going to Manchester just so I could visit Afflecks Palace with my friends. It is an amazing and unique place full of unusual wonders and more culture than a mcdonalds or a HMV could dream of having!
Please dont close Afflek's its the only place i can get clothes from all other shops sell sad clothes WHOS STUPID IDEA WAS IT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT CLOSING
this place represents everything i love about manchester and would be a tragic blow to the city's alternative identity and culture if lost, PLEASE KEEP IT!
must stay open tis the only reason i put up with slow walkers and old pplz stopping in front of me in manchester city centre... i wudnt bother otherwise...
