I am one of those people who wish to begin their own small business and if Afflecks were to close, or rent doubled, how are people like me supposed to get on the ladder in an ideal area? We need this place kept as it is. People complain that there is nothing for Kids, hence why many are turning to crime. Stop taking places like this away from them then

I grew up in Manchester and Afflecks was a key feature of this. A visit over Christmas reminded me of all that it had to offer and I promised to go back again soon. It is a credit to Manchesters individuality and shouldn't be lost.

Afflecks Palace is a fantastic alternative shopping centre. Dont let it become yet another set of soul-les block of unnecessary flats or a standard high street shop that could be found in any other city

Afflecks is iconic! Historic, one of the only good places to shop. It even has a Wikipedia entry, i bet whatever uninspiring beast it is planned to become would not be unique enough to have such.
Afflecks palace is the sole identity of manchester itself. It reflects the people as well as the art and culture. We need afflecks! Don't shut down who we are!
