YOU CAN NOT CLOSE AFFLECKS PALACE!its the only place like it........besides camden in london!afflecks is my favourite place around and my favourite place to show.it cant close!
I think it is a disgrace the manchester city council, or whoever has control of this situation, is giving up what is known as a local trading point for the city. If that place goes, and another high street department store opens then it just goes to show the state of things to come. Maybe just bulldover the whole northern quarter and build another Tesco.

Afflecks is a great place for a day out and to close it for some flats (as if we dont already have enuf) is damn right STUPID! Without it there is no point in going to manchester!
:( dont shut it down.its the best stop in manchester, the only place where you can buy the most unusual things and best clothes and hair dye. It's part of manchester, people from my family have been going for years. You cannot do this, go shut some rubbish shop instead. You never listen to the people and what they want, so many people have signed this, so cant you see what we want. PLEASE.
Afflecks represents what manchester is, an individual vibrant city full of culture and music. Closing the place down would turn the manchester into another typical city!!!!!
Since my discovery of it 2 years, Afflecks has certainly changed my life. Every store in there has a thousand wonders and it certainly would be sorely missed if it was to be shut down by the thousands who flock there. DONT CLOSE AFFLECKS

I luv afflecks! When we go to Manchester, we spend most of the day in there shopping. There is no where else like it in Manchester so where else shall we shop??? KEEP AFFLECKS OPEN!!!!
Afflecks palace is a really amazing place to shop with lots of different thing. so many people would have no where to shop if it wasnt for this place. i love it
Who cares about flats? nobody is gonna want 2 live there! afflecks is the best place in manchester n the only shop where u can buy things that aren't repeated 100 times in all the other shops. if u close afflecks it will make manchester a boring place and there will b no individuality. people come from all over the country 2 c afflecks n u want 2 close it! how idiotic. keep it open!!!!!!!!!!
Running a building like this is expensive and the owners can not lose sight of this fact, however, to let a venue and enterprising busninesses such as these come to nought would be a tragedy for the city centre and one more step down the road to becoming yet another

Closing Afflecks would vastly reduce the characteristics that we love about Manchester (like the rent increases elsewhere in the Northern Quarter are already doing).
I am appalled to hear that the landlords of Afflex is thinking about not extending the lease for a historic centre point of Manchester. The people nation wide and the Mancunians LOVE IT! Dont do this to the people!Keep it going for ever!
afflecks is a huge part of the manchester scene. its the main reason that alot of people viset manchester. its not just a place too shop anymore its a lanmark in itself. it would be a MAJOR loss. its ridiculous too even consider turning it into flats.
Afflecks palice was and still is a marvelous place for unusual and individual things you cannot get anywhere else, i used to live in manchester 4 years ago, and even though i have moved to southend on sea essex i still come up there to go to it.Afflecks is the heart of Manchester for the alternative people to go to, you cannot deny them of this place! It has a long history, and you fat cats have already took the collosuim and the underground market,and the shops we had (where the tesco metro is now!)so dont take this away from us!!
Afflecks Palace, should stay, it was the place my mum first worked at when it was Affleck and Browns, it always been there so why close it down , probably greedy landlords wanting to convert in2 more luxury appartments, arn't there enough of them already in town and empty ...

I was a study abroad student in Manchester for a year in 2006-2007. I am from New York, USA. Manchester is a truly wonderful and unique city - I wish I was still there! Afflecks Palace is one of the HUGE things that make Manchester what it is!! It must stay!!
Have we not already lost enough iconic buildings because of city centre living?? Be warned all you blind, greedy capitalist fat cats out there....the housing market has it's arse falling out. Lets save Affecks from a souless development of trendy flats or some other pointless venture. Manchester will not be the same. It is a unique place where me and all my friends used to get our 70's vintage cords when we were at college. It's still the most interesting place to shop in town and full of individual, cool vendors who deserve to keep trading to new generations of kids who refuse to conform. I predict a riot!!
