Many happy memories of Afflecks Palace when at school in Manchester in the '80s and '90s.The only similar place was the Corn Exchange Market, which has now been 'restored' and no longer bears any resemblance to its original funky incarnation. Afflecks Palace deserves to stay open and uninterfered with, as it is now the only place of its kind in Manchester.
Afflecks should not be closed, I go there all the time it offers my type of clothing and is THE MAIN REASON WHY I VISIT MANCHESTER.they dont rip you off and it would be like a pet or family member lost if it closes
If Afflecks palace closes Manchester will lose one of the country's most unique shopping experiences. Afflecks Palace is as important a part of Manchesters attraction as the MEN or Urbis or even the Hacienda in its heyday. Dont let that one slip away
Affleck's Palace is a part of Manchester's heritage. I've been visiting since I was a troubled teen and it would be dreadful to see it turned into more trendy apartments. Afflecks is a landmark that must be preserved.
Don't close Afflects, its the only place I can get clothes from that I actually like and all the stalls there are good. If it has to close then re-open it elsewhere!!!!
Loads of people in Manchester have grown up with this place. Is it really worth closing it down to make room for something as inane as flats? If this continues to happen, Manchester will be nothing but a high street and there will be nothing special about it.
Afflecks palace is such a brilliant place! I love it. If it did actually close down i don't think i would go to Manchester shopping again. WE NEED TO STOP IT FROM CLOSING!!!
