aflecks was an amazing series of shops, i could think of dozen of items i could buy from the shops there which i could buy from no other shop in manchester and made sure every trip to manchester i made involved visiting there
please, please, please!! You can't close afflecks down! I'm only 10 and already it is my favorite shop in the world!! It's too good to be built on top of! Please don't because I'm sure many people will miss the coolness and the tallness of it!! It's dead good and they sell EVERYTHING!!! I just love it too much! xxx
It is part of Manchester's culture - as a student who came here from Cornwall in September it is one of the first things I was told about, and when I have visitors, it is one of the things I make sure I show them along with China Town, Trafford/Arndale, the Wheel, etc. You can't close this without diminishing the value of your city!
Closing Afflecks would be like closing Old Trafford, or like it was demolishing Maine Rd.If u close Afflecks, ur ripping out the heart of the Manchester Community, do away with the Apollo while ur at it U PC Bums

This place can NOT close! Was heartbreaking when we had a look round there not a week ago and it had been butchered, shops missing, walls taken out, all that cal. Please it can't close, it's far to fabulous!

Afflecks Palace is one of the only unique stores in the whole of and brings alot of different people into the city. If it were to close Manchester would unfortuantly become yet another bland boring city and this would be a travesty.
