Give Afflecks the flick not to mention a reduction in heritage based progress to Manchesters tourism.WOW stupid idea. 8 universities in Manchester that live in the quarter and spend their little wages there. Not to mention the original designs and designers losing business.BIG EFFING MISTAKE
Afflecks Palace saved me as a kid, it was the one place that encouraged me to be unique, it felt more like home than my home did because it never forced me to choose clothing/accesories or friends based on popularity contests. Keep it! Our and the next generations need it!
This is terrible news. Afflecks was a really big part of my youth and is a mark of Manchester's alternative, independent nature. We cannot allow it to shut down.
Afflecks has been around for years, its different to the mainstream and one of a kind. There should be more places like this not less so save our Afflecks and the people who are not affraid to say f*** the mainstream! if you close this place manchester wont be the place it is today, their will always be a piece missing. LIVE ON AFFLECKS!!!!
i loved going afflecks palace when i was at college. it was a great place to hung out. i dont understand why they would get rid of a great place like this
Keep Aflecs op[en becuse i am 42 years old and it has been visited by many generations such as myself! i also hope my Granchild will be able to expirience what me and my daughter and son have seen. So please for our childrens sake keep it open!!!!!!!
How dare you even contemplate selling part of Manchester's soul for a few culturally worthless boutiques? Afflecks is part of the Mancunian fabric of life IT'S YOUR JOB TO PRESERVE OUR CULTURE not rip it down
Afflex Palace is known all throughout the north of england, not only to alternative people but to visitors alike. It brings commuters into the city, who after shopping at afflex will shop at other mancunian businesses. Everytime I have been there it has been packed. Collectively it is the largest source of businesses selling 'alternative' products and has been a source of culture to the city. Closing it down would be a great loss to the city.
Ive only been able to visit the Afflecks Palace once, but i loved it, i hope to be coming to Manchester to go there again! I'll cry if it closes. I love it
Affleck's is an inspiration to consumers and a springboard for tomorrow's entrepreneurs- why close one Manchester's historically unconventional creative institutions?!
I used to go to Afflecks Palace with my mates when it first opened and now I live in Lincolnshire me and my husband come to it for everything from haircuts to jeans. We love it, if they close it, it will take the heart out of the city and it will just be another London.
The day that Affleck's close down is the day that Manchester becomes just another city. I will be there on the day they decide to close it, with a rather abusive placard and loudspeaker!!
I will have less of a reason to go to Manchester if Afflecks is gone. It has been my first port of call in the city for years. Tell everyone you know to go there! (and sign this petition.)
i dont think it is closing because if it was they would have done it by now! (whoever they are!!) but i superly hope with the WHOLE! of me that they dont close it! :] if they decide to close it i will promise to be down there early in the morning with my plackard fighting for it!! xx
