To Governor Schwarzenegger of the State of California: We Support Legislation to Amend Foster Care Program Standards and Requirements

State laws for foster parents should include:
1. Foster children should not be placed in foster homes where the foster parents associate with registered drug dealers, registered drug users or registered sex offenders?
2.Included in any investigation to become foster parents or at anytime a complaint has been made about foster parents. Department of Children Services should talk with people in the neighborhood and the local police department.

We, the undersigned, support legislation that will require more thorough screening of Foster Care applicants, set higher standards of conduct for foster parents, and require immediate investigation of all complaints of inadequate care or supervision.
