Animals all around the world, right this second, are being tortured, killed and terrified!
THE FACTS: We as humans kill 40 billion chickens a year! Thats basically 7 times the population of humans. And that is just chickens! You may be wondering, yeah but chickens (or any other animal) dont have feelings of pain, fear and anxiety. Sadly, the truth is that they DO. The way humans raise and kill animals is TOTALLY unexceptable. Pigs, cows, even horses are regulary killed for either meat, gelatine in sweets or leather. Battery Chickens, Dairy cows and pigs which are kept for breeding are normally treated the worst. Battery chickens spend all their lives in tiny cages, cramped with other chickens and feces. Chickens dont like to produce eggs infront of others but here they are forced and once they stop giving eggs, they are shipped off to slaughter houses for pet food. Dairy cows (and like any other mammel) need to be pregnant to give milk, so they are impregnanted regulary and once their calf is born, the calf is either killed straight away or taken to veal slaughterhouses. The calf doesnt get milk, so they can barely walk properly before they die. And mother pigs are kept in cramped beddings where they have to give birth. The runts of the litters are slammed head first onto the cold cement floor.

We CAN make a difference. Please stop buying furs and if you do buy leather, look on the label or ask at the counter if its a byproduct or not.
Please at least try to become vegetarian, because Quorn is a great subsitute. If you cant because of dietry issues, at least by free range and oragnic, because at least they are treated better but remember, they are still killed in the same way as a battery caged animal!
