won auction on March 30, didn't receive poster until April 16. Charged $9.99 for shipping, the tube i received had a sticker from the USPS for $1.75. all emails sent to him only produced an automated response with totally offtopic answers. to top it all off, the tube i received was torn, and the whole midsection of my poster is severely creased. everyone that posts positive feedback on his auctions must be seriously retarded to think that he is a good seller.
Overcharged me $24.99 to ship a poster which only cost him $3.10. Tried to complain or get a refund and all I get is the runaround with his website and lies that everything was posted in the auction. One of the worst experiences I've ever had on Ebay. I hope something can be done to get even with this person or persons someday!
Poor quality items. Shipping charges confussing and over priced. Checkout system very complicated! Took me hours to pay. Could not combine all my items so I had to pay more shipping charges. Emails replied by automatic system that refers you to a website of FAQ. Takes days and lots of time to get an answer for a real person. The seller is scamming people. The posters are all color copies and poor quality. Has anyone checked to see if this guy has the right to reproduce these materials?
The shipping charges were way too much. When I complained, I got a non-sequitur in reponse. I won't buy from this company again and I am surprised that E-Bay allows it to stay listed.
I won a rare braveheart poster over 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it eventhough I paid for it the day after the auction. I believe he comes from Boston and I live in montreal I could drive there in a matter of hours and for some reason it's already taken over two weeks this is crazy and obviously full of shit. After waiting exactly 2 weeks I wrote him an email only to receive an auto-response. His ingnorance and obvious uncaring nature only succeeds in making happy good paying people upset and I plan on leaving negative feedback everyday until I get my poster, a refund or he is off of ebay
My first order resulted in a poster that was badly creased. Returning the item from Germany (where I live) would have cost 10x the price of the poster. So I ordered another (in fact 2 of the same), assuming it was the easiest way to solve the problem. But this time I simply received the wrong posters - both of them! AdamHersh is the only seller I've had to give negative feedback to. I shall never again deal with him - more importantly, he gives Ebay a bad name.
I won the bid on a "RARE" Jimi Hendrix poster. I paid within the hour of my win. My "RARE" poster did not come and I contacted hi. I repeatedly recieved the same form letter from him. I called and all I got was a recording. I checked the shipped date and it said when it was shipped, UPS. I got it today, 2 weeks later and was delivered by the USPS. The poster was/is nothing more than a color xerox of some other painting. Not worth the price I was gouged and the shipping. EBAY, REMOVE THIS MAN AND HIS BUSINESS!!
I cant get out of my house. So I cant mail payments at the post office and my mail carrier doesnt pick up mail from my box. Dont ask me why. So I do all my billing on- line. I also like to shop on-line. So I usr paypal alot. I have been trying for DAYS and I stress DAYS to pay for my items. I have had no response from them and I cant pay for my items. Now reading all this I am glad I didnt pay for them. I think they are an awful company. I left neg. feedback and am sure I will get it as well. I pay for everything right away at least within an hour. They shouldnt be doing these things especially to such DEVOTED EBAYERS!!!!
Reading through the rest of these comments, I have had the same experiences as most of the "victims" on here. Though the high shipping is a ridiculous gimmick to gain money and the slow shipping response is sub par and unacceptable, what I have found to be the one thing of the greatest concern is that their emails are not only impersonal (I received the same identical written email from two different "customer service agents" with only different monikers), but they assign blame to the postal service and refuse to be accomodating with their reimbursments. They never respond to emails that I have sent asking questions in person and I am extremely dissatisfied with the entire process. I felt that this man/company does not represent the eBay community even closely and his sales policies should seriously be reconsidered before he is allowed back in. eBay, please pay attention to us, the victims!
So obvious that he makes his money off the shipping and "insurance" costs. There was no indication of any insurance paid for the item. Wouldn't mind paying the high shipping if it was for a quality poster, but it was of very poor quality. Not at all "RARE" as posted. I emailed a complaint and just got an automated response. After waiting with no reply, i left negative feedback. I suppose now i will get negetive feedback in retaliation, although i paid promptly with palpal. Ebay should stop him!
I bought a poster well over a month and a half ago and still have not gotten it and he will not give me a refund. I gave him neg feedback and in return he did the same for me even though I paid promptly and have been very understanding. I would also like to add that he doesnot respond to emails at all, he replys with automated emails.

Hersh's auction titles can sometimes be misleading, and the shipping is incredibly exorbetant and uncessesary. Communication often takes forever, and responses are majorly automated (but I suppose that's understandable). It seems that they have little care for their customers. And there are some who would like to leave him negative feedback, but are afraid too because he'll likely do the same to them, even if they've attempted contact and/or paid.
I paid thru paypal immediatley after winning item, a month and 2 weeks later, still no item. His communication is absolutley rediculous, the only emails i recieve are auto response BS email. Also i left a negative feedback on his account and immediatley he returned with negative feedback on mine. How the hell is someone going to leave negative feedback when i have paid for the product I won?? His company is bullsh!t.
These guys are sleazy. They hide the shipping costs, then slap with shipping nearly 10 times what it should cost. And like all the others have stated: no communication - just threats to have you banned from e-bay if you don't pay. This bonehead even did an information check on me...whats's next, hit men showing up at the door?
I contacted Ebay regarding adamhersh scams two weeks ago, but I don't expect a reply. Ebay won't do anything about him because he makes them money with his rip-offs. Like others I paid immediately thru Paypal...overcharged on shipping and received a damaged item. Refund? You have to jump thru hoops! I left negative feedback and received negative feeback in return. The only negative part of the transaction for adamhersh was my negative feedback. Like others he tried to blackmail me to removing the negative feedback. There is no-way I'm going yo do that! I want to stand with the other 1,534 Ebay members who left negative feedback. By the way adamhersh is in New York City, but he ships from Florida.

This is the feedback I rec'd from Adam Hersh after waiting almost a most for an item I purchased to give as an anniversary gift. I was unable to do so because 3 weeks from the date of puchase, I still had not rec'd it. I contacted the company - no response. For what I paid in shipping, I should have gotten it within a couple of days. I was forced to lodge a complaint with the resolution center. Without any follow-up from Hersh (except for his standard computerized receipt letter), I left negative feedback which was well deserved. I HAD 100% positive feedback until I dealt with this unscrupulous seller.
His feedback to me was completely retaliatory. Then, he follows up with a letter suggesting we mutually withdraw negative feedback. NO WAY, MR."HOW-TO-SCREW-INNOCEN T-EBAY-BUYERS!"
I'll take the hit on the lower score, but if it is not eventually removed, eBay's going to lose me as a client. I may be one person, but one person x 100's and 1000's add up when it comes to principle. A note to eBay: Do the fees from a heavy-hit lister justify unfair trade practices? If so, then aren't you just acting as Adam Hersh's pimp?

My item was not as advertised, was the wrong size, and is now useless. The real problem is that e-bay allows sellers like this to withhold their feedback until you post yours, essentially allowing the seller to hold your e-Bay reputation hostage.
I too was victimized by this ebay predator. I had a perfect rating until I justly complained about his scan shipping/insurance charges. He left a vicious retaliatory feedback (same crap he does to others, to wit: "HORRIBLE PERSON, WORST PERSON ON EBAY" etc. This guy's a bottom feeder - real scum. He gives ebay a bad name.
Horrible experience! I used paypal to purchase a poster. I waited nearly 3 weeks for my poster before I emailed adamhershauctions. I received auto-response emails, referring me to their FAQ page. I finally got an email stating the post office "mangled" the poster and it would be shipped once they received it from their supplier. Apparently there was only one...lol. After 5 weeks I demanded a refund, which I was given, however he opened a unpaid bidder dispute stating that I returned the item for a refund. I never received anything to return. Never have I dealt with suck a horrible business! I ordered two posters from him and was suppose to receive combined shipping whcih never happened. Then I got way overcharged for the shipping and over 6 weeks now and still no product. I cannot receive a response all I get is the automated messages. I have asked more than seven times now to be contacted by a real person and still nothing at all. I checked the shipping link he overs and there is no record of the order! Plus how is it that I can right at auction end and when I try to leave my feedback so others will not have to go through this he gives me a negative feedback? How can that be allowed. It all started with my kid wanting some posters. Adam had some, so I paid the outlandish shipping and the "mandatory" insurance and got them using "Buy It Now". I got one, which was a cheap looking picture, and the second, I have never received. Adam has told me, via several generic form emails that I am growing to hate, not to fear, that the poster was being shipped. Well, I never have received it. I opened an Item Not Received case against him. Then I get an email telling me that if I want to him to reship my poster, that I have to close my case! If I don't, it is "out of his hands"! Bullshit blackmailer! This is so very wrong! And, to boot, I get the negative feedback! I want my money back, my negative feedback removed, and I want to see jerks like Adam Hersh removed from eBay. He is a con artist!
Adam Hershe= HORRIBLE. I'm 3 months new to the ebay thing, but I've quickly bought about 39 items with no problems, except these folks and they were by far the jerkiest people. When I called their help line they were all smiles and rainbows, I even offered to just buy the 99c poster and let them keep it, becaue the $9 shipping seemed exorbitant. But no, so..for a 99c poster I got my first nonpayment strike. Adam Hersch auctions..., excuse the language, but they were a*&holes. I finally paid in full and I still probably have the strike, I don't know how to check. Hope the petition works, thanks for giving honest folks a voice.

Narrow miss here. Lots of threats and extortion attempts before I finally got a supervisor who figured out I meant business. The checkout system did not include both auctions items' numbers. I "bought it now" for both, within minutes, paid for both together and received both in one shipment (way overpriced without the mandatory insurance after weeks, of course). Then I start getting threats that I still owe for one of the posters. No amount of explanation elicited more than standard auto responses. Unpaid item strike dispute went on and on, with threatening emails all the while. Filed a formal complaint with eBay the same day I got someone on the phone who "offered" to make this all go away for $3. ?!?!? Things got ugly and I finally got through to a supervisor who removed the UPI strike. What a nightmare.

Well, my mother raised a fool. This POS took my money, didn't send the item at all and I got nailed with a negative eBay feedback. I've been dealing with eBay for a few years now and had no problem until I decided to deal with this hack.
People should boycott Adam Hersh's items. EBay must listen- if a boycott is organised and promoted, and a warning is sent out, then he will be forced out of business!

I ordered 2 posters from Adam Hersh and was way over charged as well. I paid just a penny for the poster and outrageous shipping! This guy obviously gets rich by ripping people off! He sent an email saying 1 was damaged in the mail and sent back to them and when I finally got it, it had severe damage to it. Everytime I emailed him I got an automated response. The only personal mail I got was telling me my item was damaged and sent back and it was on it's way. And he ALWAY'S blames the USPS for being too slow. GET THIS JERK OFF EBAY!!!
I ordered a what was listed as a vintage poster and paid within 24 hours of the end of the auction. What I received two and a half weeks later was a COPY of a vintage poster. I sent an email requesting my money back but all I got was an automated email response. Like many others I am very disappointed with the customer service and Adam Hersh's business practices. This was my 11th eBay transaction and the first time that I have ever had to give negative feedback. When I did give negative feedback, Adam Hersh retailiated by giving me negative feedback saying that I was a "HORRIBLE BUYER". This is by far the worst eBay transaction I have ever had. I have to agree with what another petitioner has written, Adam Hersh is unethical and should be banished from eBay.
I have been on eBay for nearly 8 years and until I purchased a 99 cent postcard from Adam Hersch, I had 100% positive feedback. I estimate I have spent around $45,000 on eBay over the years and this slime sucker gave me a NEGATIVE FOR NO REASON WHEN I PAID IN FULL THE 99 CENT POSTCARD. IT WAS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE TRANSACTION. FIRST HE TRIED TO CLIP ME OVER $11 SHIPPING PLUS "INSURANCE" TO SEND A 99 CENT POSTCARD HE COULD HAVE PUT IN AN ENVELOPE WITH A 37 CENT STAMP. I sent a check instead of Paypal since the shipping amount couldn't be changed on Paypal (pretty sneaky trick and again lacking in ethics). ADAM HERSH cashed the check which I wrote out for the ACTUAL shipping he advertised on the auction page ($1.49 and nothing about mandatory insurance). He never sent the postcard then RETALIATED against my negative feedback with a LIE that I was a "HORRIBLE BUYER". This is so far from the truth it is OBSCENE. Then he sends some LAME ASS "FEEDBACK WITHDRAWL REQUEST". I will TAKE my first negative then I guess and I will NEVER remove his because he is the WORST SELLER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I agree that they should be removed. I have paid my money and received feedback but got no poster and they are saying I am a non-pay. This is crazy, I keep getting a auto- email response that is not giving me answers.

Left a notice earlier on this site...I had mistakenly said it took 3wks but it was 3 mos!!! The quality of prints I received were nothing close to the description given. I could of honestly printed off the picture in the description and had a better print. I have and sold over a 100+ prints, from various artists, and nothing comes any where near the poor quality of these. They don't leave feedback until you do so they can try to slant it their way. This is the first neg feedback I have ever given, and I have even received damaged prints before. I even tried top contact them first before leaving feedback and they come back with some bogus site that doesn't answer dick or treat you with any concern. They look too big for you to take on, they just look like a seller that people need to be aware of and deal with on their own risk...me never again. Thank goodness I only wasted a buck + shipping. I will not be selling such a print..I will just give away to some kids...

Adam Hersh is a scam artist that preys on peoples trust. I sent him $8 dollars to ship a $1.99 poster that I haven't recieved a month and a half later. I am truly disappointed with this, and want nothing more than to see him removed from eBay as soon as humanly possible.
With absolutely no basis Adam Hersh ruined my perfect score. I paid for the item 12/26, arrived damaged. Contacted seller who advises me to "return to sender".(why would he do that if it was insured?) Received e mail shortly thereafter stating they had received damaged poster and a new one was on the way. March 17, still no poster.
Adam Hersh leads you to believe the item is insured through the post office, this is a lie.
Aside from his excessive shipping charges his business practices are totally unethical and violate e bay rules for feedback, communication and attitude. My experience with Adam Hersh will cause me to cease doing business on e Bay forever. I believe he is not only ripping people off but he is using his friends to leave positive feedback after a bad episode. He has ruined my perfect score with unjustifyable feedbak and eBay practices allows it to continue. eBay rules say that the buyer leaves feedback first, especially when one pays promptly and abides by eBay rules. This seem to apply to everyone but Adam Hersh.

I paid .99 for a poster with an additional $8 for shipping and required insurance and the poster only cost .83 to ship!!! It was on the shipping label. AdamHersh is ripping people off big time. This jerk needs to be removed from EBAY! It took him almost 2 months to ship my item to me. He wouldn't repsond to my e-mails as to why it was taking so long until I threatened to leave negative feedback. Only then did he tell me that it was returned to him damaged and he had to send me a new one. I don't believe that one bit! If it had been returned to him damaged and he had to replace it, then he should have told me before I threatened to leave negative feedback on him. I did it anyway because he was a jerk and it took almost 2 months for me to receive my item. So in retaliation, he left me negative feedback, but all he could say was that I complain and complain. I didn't really complain that much, but had the right too because it took so long to get the item. And he really scams people on the shipping. I paid $9.99 for shipping and the item had postage for $1.98. He shouldn't be allowed to cheat people like that! And he shouldn't get away with having so much negative feedback left on him. As a buyer, if I have 3 negative feedbacks in a short amount of time, I am banned from EBAY. But this jerk has over 100 in a month's time and he's still allowed to sell. That's ridiculous!

I tried contacting Adam Hersh five times through e-mail within a week, and he never responded. I called, and they said they didn't understand what happened, and told me to call back later. Meanwhile, it had been two weeks and I hadn't been able to get a hold of anyone. So I left accurate, negative feedback on what had occurred, saying "Web site wouldn't let me pay the full amount, he also never responded to emails!". He left me negative, harsh feedback that was uncalled for, claiming I was "THE WORST BUYER ON EBAY! CANCEL ALL HER BIDS! SHE IS NOT SERIOUS! BAD!!!" Totally corrupt and ebay has told me there is little they can do about the retaliatory feedback they left me simply because I left honest neg feedback!! The people that work there are intimidating abusive thugs who try to force you to remove your feedback or receive a strike. I ordered two posters and he charged me a fortune to send them to Australia with mandatory insurance. One arrived and one didn't and when I contacted them they said it was damaged and returned to them. They sent a rude email and told me it would be re-sent. When it arrived it was so damaged I couldn't display it. I contacted them and asked them if they simply re-sent the damaged one to me as it was so bad. They said no, not to worry as that was what the insurance was for, send it back to them and they would replace. I am in Australia so I asked them if they would re-imburse me the postage to send it back. Otherwise this 0.99c poster is starting to cost me $100 by the end of it all. They said not to worry and send photo's. Again, I am not going to pay for photos and send them so I emailed photo's. Since then I have sent email after email and there has not been a reply. So eventually I left my feedback and honestly said that they wouldn't reply to my emails re the damaged poster. They replied "WORST BUYER ON EBAY! CANCEL ALL HER BIDS! SHE IS NOT SERIOUS! BAD!". And because I paid for two posters (straight away via Paypal mind you!), I received two strikes!! And then I get a nicely worded email asking me if I would like to mutually remove my feedback! In order not to get suspended I did and I'm not happy about it and have sent 3 people in that company emails. No reply. Scumbags! Con-men! And I suppose I will never see my poster even though I paid insurance for it. They are liars and thieves. Ebay won't do anything and I wonder where is the justice? If I were in the U.S I would be contacting the equivalent to what we have here in Australia
My items were damaged in shipping and my inquiries about how to get them replaced went unanswered and when I left negative feedback with this information I got his stupid automatic feedback response.

After2 MONTHS 3 WEEKS Later I received ONLY 1 poster!! So I decided to do a little researching on the FRAUDULANT E-Bay MEMBER(and who is also member on other online auction/merchant spots) ADAMHERSH…ADAM HERSH charges $6.99 and more S&H almost always on a 99 CENT poster. Adamhersh FORCECHARGES $1.99 for a “shipping insurance” which he never pays his outsourced delivery means eg; USPS. For this reason Adam Hearch Auctions willmake it extremely difficult to return a damaged poster for exchange or refund. How’s that for “insurance” that you are “required” to pay? I bought only one poster, thank goodness, and it was a .99 sale with a final tally of over $10 to receive it. Mandetory insurance, okay I should have read the auction clearer. What gets me is that you CANNOT leave a neg feedback without them leaving you one in return. This is against the implied intent of Ebay's feedback. It's blackmail!!! I'm a new e-bayer with only 4 sales. If I neg him and he negs me back I end up with only an 80% approval after I've done NOTHING wrong!!! Even with this threat he has a neg feedback of 7% which is high, even for someone doing 50,000 plus sales. E-bay needs to thump him just for his abuse of the feedback process.
Yep, another UNsatisfied customer, bought 15 posters @ .99cents each = $14.85, fair enough so far, insurance:$15.85! and now the killer, shipping to Australia : $42.97, total::$73.67 for 15 posters in a cardboard tube ( crushed )weighing about 1 lb, shipping on the consignment note clearly staes postage is $25.85!! Thats a stolen amount of $17.12. enough and more to buy my posters all over again! OH! Did I forget to mention that my money didn't arrive to A.Hersh within the first week so they put 15 non paying bidder strikes against me on ebay. Instant suspension! everytime I contacted A.Hersh, get either no reply or a automated " thank you for puchasing a quality Adam Hersh poster " eventually Ebay removed the strikes after 3 weeks of me faxing and emailing proof of payment.......Anyway Please Be Very Careful before buying from Adam Hersh Auctions.
monthes gone by and only half my order has arrived. paid 14.00 for a couple of 0.99 cent posters I could have picked up at the dollar store down the street. No communication on his part. I've emailed him a number of times, but no reply. Called him personally but got the run around.. said he wouldn't give me a refund because I did get one of my prints (NEARLY A MONTH LATE!!!) This guys a crook plain and simple.
First, let me say that I am NOT one of his customers.
Second, because I had some free time today, I checked into this guy's feedback and after reading about 1/4 of his thousands of entries, I concur with what you are saying.
1. Shipping Prices: I can't believe the prices he charges for shipping a stupid poster?! I don't care what anyone says - 10 days to ship an item from one state to another is horrible service. I ship things to my friend ROUTINELY from the US to Thailand and shipping averages 10-12 days! $8 to $12 to ship a 99 cent poster? WTF! Then he smugly retorts: "All shipping charges clearly stated on auction" - That crap needs to stop. This is how many sellers make their money. They get the free priority cartons from the post office and use them to mail all their crap.
2. The jerk says insurance is "required" but time and time again people report that insurance isn't included on their shipment.
3. He tries to snake his way out of a bad review EVERY time by blaming someone else. i.e: he/she is a new eBayer; he/she didn't follow my directions; etc. etc.
4. Consistant patterns in "problem" areas. Now everyone makes a mistake now and then, but how can anyone explain hundreds of different people reporting the same issues time and time again? This screams "red flags", and eBay owes it to every eBayer to deal with this kind of seller quickly and severely.
To prove my point, I responded to one negative feedback he received. A woman bought a glossy photo and when she received it, was disappointed in its size because she thought she was buying a poster. His reply to the neg was "you were bidding on a glossy photo, not a poster." Well, I checked in to the auction she won and the headline CLEARLY states "glossy photo poster".

I bought a poster from Adam Hersh, paid, and received the item. That's not my beef. Here's the problem: The shipping was incredibly overpriced and the poster was not "rare" as described. It was small and cheaply produced. I was forced to pay for "insurance" that was never purchased from the post office. I will NOT do business with again, nor should anyone else.
I have found myself in a spot, I bought a poster from Adam Hersh as a gift but after it was paid for I was informed that it would take 14 DAYS!!! For it to be delivered, I don't know about anyone else but I've NEVER heard of a poster or anything else for that matter taking that long to ship. They claim that it's the USPS that takes so long to ship. They also claimed that they sent it off to them and it's out of thier hands but no one will give me a tracking number to follow...I wonder why that is! This company seems professional at first but don't be fooled.
This man is a con artist & thief. Profits from hidden S&H charges, sells cheap reproductions, doesn't communicate and when he does is childish. Automated responses that don't answer questions. GAUGE GAUGE GAUGE!! BBB get this guy - he's a liar and is cheating people left and right. ebayers - boycott this seller. Try art.com where you'll pay a lot less considering his S&H and "insurance."

I have already started calling the Better Business Bureau in New York City, all of us should do that, and constantly tell Ebay and Paypal about this THIEF!!! I truly agree that these people need to be removed from eBay. The fact that they didn't send me feedback straight away (like most sellers do) was the first sign there was a problem- they hold back so you can't complain about them in their feedback or they will probably give you bad feedback too.
They have lied and lied to me about why its taken so long, clearly just hoping i give up.
I regularly order things from China and have never been ripped off once, deal with the US and i do! Unbelieveable, but sadly true.

Treats customers with absolute contempt. Makes profit by inflated postage charges. You predominately receive item damaged.You pay insurance but nothing is ever followed up, replaced or reimbursed. Absolutely no communication. Leaves you (the customer)feedback AFTER you have left him feedback on ebay. Untrustworthy and should be removed from ebay as he gets closer to 1000 negatives, many neutrals and ebay does nought.
Never received my poster, which I won in LATE APRIL. Sent numerous emails, but I only got the runaround and fake excuses, which prolonged the process past 30 days. Tried calling, but Adam Hersh only has a message service, and after 10 phone calls, no one has ever even attempted to call me back. Horrible customer service! Adam Hersh does not care about the customer, and I feel ripped off. i wish ebay and paypal would see what this guy is doing to innocent, trusting people. Doesn't their mission statement say something about everyone being basically honest? Then how can they continue to let this company rip off those of us who make ebay work?
i ordered a poster from hersh, it was advertised as rare, the poster i recieved was smaller and was not rare, it was a standard size poster that i could have got at the mall for 4 bucks, adams shipping costed 6.99, but only costed him 1.75, shipping took a long time, i have contacted a dispute resolution service so that i can get a partial refund because i was RIPPED OFF, all he has to say s that he wants my negative feedback removed!
