Reasons why Artemis/Holly is just ick (and why you should support Artemis/Minerva):

1) Height reasons (1 meter tall fairy + normal-height human?! EEK!)

2) Age reasons (c'mon, it's just...*shudder)

3) Species (okay, perhaps little elfy genii would be cute, but it still wouldn't completely work out)

4) They're only FRIENDS and were forced together by all the adventures

5) That kiss in The Time Paradox was just a "Thank God you're alright! I could kiss you now!" kiss

6) Eoin Colfer never planned for Holly to be Artemis's love interest (http://www.modestyarbor.com/eoincolfer.html)

7) Eoin likes Minerva's character. "Colfer expresses a fondness for the character and a desire to see her return as a central character in a later novel"

8) They say she's too similar to Artemis to have a relationship with him, and is a Mary Sue. Isn't that the same as calling Artemis a Gary Stu?! 

9) Minerva's character could change/has changed (Butler said so himself in The Lost Colony and she could still have more character development over three years, changing for the better and not being that much of a Mary Sue/annoying brat—as A/H shippers call her—anymore)
