I\'m a 10th grader and P.E. has always been a very bad subject for me because i hate doing physical activity in front of other people and schools force us to do things that make many people feel self conscious. Also, P.E. doesn\'t help anyone achieve their goals academically.

I agree. P.E. is a gateway to bullying and self-consciousness. After P.E., we are dead tired and can't focus in classes after wards. My P.E. teacher favors the skinny girls over the ones that appear to be bigger but actually have MUSCLE. It's really stupid! A girl almost passed out from dehydration running the mile but our teacher didn't even care. They push us way too hard, and make us all feel bad about ourselves. BAN P.E.!

I am in the 8th grade and am doing a persvasive speech on banning P.E. This page is very helpful. Many of you are compleatly right. PE has made me self consious and makes me want to skip school on the days we have it. It is sweaty, embaressing, and unneeded. Ban it!

I support this petition. Over the years, Physical Education has been madatory in public schools. Today, many students feel that P.E. is a waste of time and that it should be optional to take it. Many Reasons why P.E. shouldnt be required is because of young adults it should be are responsibility to make are own health decisions, we should be focusing on classes that would get us places in life such as college.Also it are lifestyle of living, the government nor the the school should be worrying about are health choices.
